Green Day get a mention here https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/kerry_king_weighs_in_on_the_offspring_and_green_day_being_called_punk_it_just_made_me_not_like_them.html?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3pgunwHr9z5irRvmOOpnq4_zoGWBMwEHCroLY0KClZ72fZciOKxDLkcVs_aem_AWqVSeJ-tzYQtIYL0uS4p9Sc2W6mzGAgMYbvF55_-DWdwuCDcCZfwT9dG8aCwKYv9YDPPOteZsjly5cxEgzlzqev#Echobox=1716245423 "Punk doesn't evolve. It's true! I remember people tried to say The Offspring, Green Day, and whatever were punk, and I mean no disrespect to either of them, but they're not punk. They kinda started their own genre, which is quote-unquote 'pop punk.' In the '90s when those bands were being called punk, it just made me not like them"

Pulled out the ole "wait between green day albums" file and there's some other studies in this file as well. There's the "latest promotion for albums after their release" portion. Nimrod had the longest promotion, with the last video coming 1 year, 5 months and 9 days after the album release. If we use that as the absolute farthest out that they will promote an album, Saviors could get a single as far out as June, 28th 2025. Of course the more recent albums haven't been promoted that far out, but there were always some BS happening that kind of messed up their plans so maybe a single and video during the tour is possible.

Work it, Billie! 😍

On this day 6 years ago (23 May 2018), The Longshot played a second night at Coney Island Baby in NYC. 17 years ago (not above admitting I used a calculator), Green Day played Working Class Hero on the 2007 American Idol finale. 22 years ago (2002), they played in Hershey, PA on the Pop Disaster Tour. 26 years ago (1998), they played the 93X Fest in Somerset, WI on the Nimrod Tour. 30 years ago (1994), they played in Essen, Germany on the Dookie Tour. And 32 years ago (1992), they played the Hot Spot Roller Rink in Janesville, WI on the Kerplunk Tour. I have learned the names of several more random American cities. Will I remember them? Possibly, since it's completely useless information.

Let's not forget that for that secret show in 2013, they took over Prima Donna's stage and instruments.

In my opinion they haven't changed much. Billie is starting to look his age, but Mike and Tre almost look exactly the same (in my opinion). As you said, age is not a bad thing and they are beautiful ❤️. But it does depend on the image however, sometimes in a picture Billie looks his age but in other images he reminds me of how he looked in 2005 (despite hair color). Same with Mike and Tre. Again, they are all beautiful no matter how old they get. ❤️. I am actually glad that they are not like other celebrities who are scared to age. They are not scared to look older and I love it ❤️.

Omg following the Foxboro tour on GDC (Foxboro Hot Tubs Community at the time) was the best and the Rev's myspace message were wild. Sting baby girl!

On this day 6 years ago (22 May 2018), The Longshot played Coney Island Baby in NYC. Thanks to @Montclare for finding this photo. More photos: 11 years ago (2013), Green Day played a secret show in Milan. More photos: 15 years ago (2009), they performed on Good Morning America in Central Park. More photos: They also performed East Jesus Nowhere on the David Letterman Show that day. More photos: 16 years ago (2008), the Foxboro Hot Tubs played in Austin, TX. Green Day also played Emo's back in the day. More photos: "STING!!! STING!! Emo's aint got nothin to do with whiny boygroups that do backflips. Emo's let the blue ribbin flow like the mississippi! Crooked letter, humpback eye, Sweetlips! STING!!!!!!!!!!" — The Rev on MySpace "Humpback eye" is another high quality Rev quote. 22 years ago (2002), Green Day played Virginia Beach, VA on the Pop Disaster Tour. 26 years ago, they played the New Rock Fest 1998. And 32 years ago (1992), they played the Whole Music Club in Minneapolis, MN. I do think they're all looking their age without makeup but that isn't an insult at all. Ageing doesn't mean looking worse and they're rocking it.

History & Technical Info on Blue (Including Replicas & Backups)

Very cool, thank you for confirming! Those Japanese guitar magazines have always been really good about capturing clear photos of artists gear and these are no exception! On the Fernandes LE-1 (third from the right), you can see where Bill Schneider rounded the headstock over removing the sharp edge. It's also visible that he took off the Fernandes logo too. Among other details, the pink Strat has the most random stickers on it. North American Fishing Club and Quasar (the electronics company) among others. The sticker on the pickguard is a Bouncing Souls piece. Underneath the "ASS" it says "Bouncing Souls East Coast Fuck You", which is one of their songs. There's at least one Souls sticker on each Strat Billie played on the nimrod tour, including the original Blue. The black Strat on the right was for Timmy Chunks, Billie's first long term tech (and hardcore legend). When they played King For A Day (and Platypus if it was in the set), that was his guitar to play. There's a Souls sticker on his guitar too, just the self-titled album cover. Fun fact: Prior to the Souls touring with Green Day in 2000, Timmy has been lifelong friends with the band. So it makes complete sense their stickers are all over GD's gear. -

No worries They're from a Japanese magazine called Cool Guitar - Modern Rock. I think it may have been a special edition -
American Idiot Clean Edition CD.

It’s interesting to me that the song is #1 on a couple of airplay charts, but dropping each week on another airplay chart

Haha, yeah. Still can't believe it was 7 years ago. That's almost a decade! And they all still look ageless ❤️. Like SERIOUSLY... what youth potions are they drinking to look so young???

Have you heard any Saviors Song in the Radio?
GreenDayJunkie86 replied to Schindi_25's topic in Green Day Chat
I heard Brain Stew on the radio today. Still no Saviors though 😕 -
Slow and steady. I kind of wish Bobby Sox got promoted more. That song is sounding perfect for the summer.
