On this day 6 years ago (25 May 2018), The Longshot played the Black Cat in Washington D.C. This was my first Longshot show! And that's me in the pink/blue check shirt in the photo. I'd just started a new job when the tour was announced, but Love is for Losers was and still is one of my favourite things any member of Green Day has ever done, so I knew I had to make it out to the US somehow. Everyone in the training room was trying for tickets and in the end we were all screaming. The big boss walked in and was like "...what the hell is The Longshot?" As soon as I got home, I booked everything for @Rumpelstiltskin2000 and me, which is probably still the best gift I've ever given anyone. I arrived at the venue a bit after 6AM and was 8th in line, which got me that amazing spot in front of Kevin. As soon as they started playing Fell For You, I screamed so loud it made Billie smile, and when the song ended I turned to Rumpel and said, "I can die happy now." Some extracts from the recap I wrote back then: 11 years ago (2013), Green Day played in Trieste, Italy on the 99 Revolutions Tour. More photos by Ivana Sataic: 16 years ago (2008), the Foxboro Hot Tubs played in Phoenix, AZ. More photos: "Hundreds of people stood in line for hours to get into this sold-out show. The now-defunct Brickhouse Theatre was packed to capacity -- so much so that a few people passed out and had to be treated for heat exhaustion outside on the curb. For fans of Green Day, the gig was worth the wait and sweat." — Niki D'Andrea, Phoenix New Times "STING!!!!!!!!!! Here's to hot nights in pheonix!!! The Reverend Strychnine Twitch" — The Rev on MySpace 22 years ago (2002), Green Day played in Burgettstown, PA on the Pop Disaster Tour. 26 years ago (1998), Green Day played the WXDX X-Fest – also in Burgettstown, PA – on the Nimrod Tour. 30 years ago (1994), Green Day played in Ibbenbüren, Germany on the Dookie Tour. And 34 years ago (1990), they played another of many shows at 924 Gilman Street.

Will do -
Well, he's happy about it!
-
Oh yeah, I completely forgot about Fever and the Japanese version! I think it's because I thought the song was meh and never heard it again 😬
-
If you don't mind, can you put this cute screenshot into the Fangirls Thread. I am not at my house so I don't have my computer. I am using my phone right now, but my phone won't work for pictures, lol. I think that is Fever. I heard it on YouTube. I think it is a b-side, you can hear it if you buy it from Japan. I heard it from an account call Green Day Unofficial

So Billie just shared what it seems to be a b-side from Saviors on his stories!!

I also thought it would be a downgrade but I am definitely impressed. Tastes almost identical to Oakland but even smoother, will definitely be keeping the subscription 👍 -

Oh no, lol! Maybe you should give it a second chance. I am not much of a coffee person, so I may not get any. If you get any of the new and improved coffees let me know how they taste! -
Lmao is that lemon juice on his shirt from a previous practice lemon? Edit: Also Serena Williams commented on it : "lol ummmm imma use my juicer but thanks I’ll keep this in my back pocket lol 😂"

Really? That's good, a lot of us thought it would be a downgrade from Oakland Coffee because they teamed with Keurig, but I am glad it is good! I'll have to buy some. Any one else have any thoughts on the coffee? -

On this day 11 years ago (24 May 2013), Green Day played in Milan, Italy on the 99 Revolutions Tour. More photos: 22 years ago (2002), they played in Holmdel, NJ on the Pop Disaster Tour. 26 years ago (1998), they played the KPNT 105.7 Pointfest 9 in Maryland Heights, MO. More bits from this show: And 32 years ago, they played McGregor's in Elmhurst, IL on the Kerplunk Tour. Tre wore a dress and wig, and there was a fanzine interview featuring a very high Mike in a wild outfit. More pics:

It's true! I remember people tried to say The Offspring, Green Day, and whatever were punk, and I mean no disrespect to either of them, but they're not punk. They kinda started their own genre, which is quote-unquote 'pop punk.' In the '90s when those bands were being called punk, it just made me not like them"
