Green Day highlights of 2025 - what was yours?

Seeing them live at Download festival during the Summer. Such an amazing atmosphere and the crazy timing of the rain starting on cue during WMUWSE.

Green Day highlights of 2025 - what was yours?

Seeing the live definitely, it was so surreal seeing so many people shouting out the lyrics and just as crazy as me all in one place, and not to mention the performance was so awesome And them performing missing you was just chef's kiss

Green Day highlights of 2025 - what was yours?

I had two highlights: seeing my beloved band from the front row in Vienna (and hearing Forever Now at that occasion) and spending hours with @Cris. at a beautifully situated cafe in Luxembourg, talking about Green Day and the world…
  5. Check out the GDA roundup of this year's highlights! https://www.greendayauthority.com/news/6272/ What was YOUR personal highlight? Mine was hearing Suzie Chapstick live, but the bits of Stay the Night and Redundant acoustic that we got in Vienna were close seconds.
  6. My bet would be that the next Green Day album will come out on 2028 or later. That gives them at least 1.5 full year off from touring. On the meanwhile, I do expect to see some shows and/or new albums from some of Billie's side projects. I'd be surprised if they don't do at least a couple of PHGP shows next year, even if it's just in the bay area, as they put out this new album right in the middle of the Saviors cycle, and haven't done a a single show for that.

I have been wondering about this since 2004, but just never enough to google it or ask 😅 So thanks a lot for sharing it

    Saviors - Album Discussion

Welcome to the Fancy Sauce fan club! 😂 It's been my favorite from the album since day one, and I am no where near to getting tired of it. Father to a Son is probably my least favorite from the album.
  9. 2026 will probably be a full year off for them (well deserved) billie will most likely play some music here and there like always, otherwise he will get too bored but i think it wont be a long time until we hear sth new from green day, they seemed to really enjoy the latest album era and the shows, and they get older, the time will come when they simply wont be able to do excessive touring etc personally for me saviors was the best lp since the trilogy, i hope they keep pushing their creativity boundaries it will be interesting to see how the next tour will look like will they finally dodge the festivals and play stadium shows here in europe ? (never did in germany for example) or will they do sth like metallica (one city, 2 different sets) ? or back to arena shows but in more cities ?
  10. I want Dark Side of Night pt 2 with a bit of Ruby Room no 2 and some Pieces of Truth too
  11. What a fun time it was when they started teasing 1972 in December 2021. I wonder if they'll ever tell the story why they changed 1972 to Saviors
  12. I don't expect a new album for at least awhile. Definitely not in 2026. Maybe 2027 it'll be teased, but not anytime before. But, maybe every now and again, we'll get a tease of a new song/solo/single. Who knows?
  13. I wouldn't expect a new album until 2027 at the earliest. Like others have said, I would think at most some one off singles and maybe a live album from the Saviors tour. Would love Billie to get into a side project again. The Longshot would be incredible to take back out and revisit.
  14. Yesterday
  15. I don’t expect word on anything new from Green Day for at least 18 months but Billie did speak about trying to get Pinheaded Gunpowder together for some shows I think.
  16. i would love a new fbht album... and a new fbht gig i dont think theyve done those a good while
  17. Wouldn't a new Foxboro Hot Tubs album be great? (Even greater than a new Longshot album) That would be a great surprise.
  18. I think Billie will do something with a side project between albums

    Saviors - Album Discussion

I love Fancy Sauce. There’s something special to it….❤️ Father to a Son was a bit disappointing for me. It’s missing something to make it really great but I can’t say what it is.😅

    Saviors - Album Discussion

I'm listening to Fancy Sauce. This song has really grown on me. What a good song. Btw I got bored with Father to a Son. Once great, but now I've kind of lost interest.
  21. My bet is they will take an extended rest in 2026 but is not like they gonna be much silent like they did after American Idiot. The show in the iheart radio is an indication they could make another hella mega-like tour. But that's just me.
  22. At this point, my opinion on Saviors is more or less the same as my opinion on RevRad. A good album but too derivative of what they've done before. It has stronger production & lyricism (at least for the more political tracks) than RevRad but I think RevRad probably has the better songwriting overall and isn't as derivative. I'd say it'll still probably be a couple years before we hear anything about the next album. We might get a couple standalone songs in the meantime like Pollyanna but idk. I hope the next album isn't anything like the Deluxe tracks of Saviors which I felt were particularly weak compared to the standard album tracks. I dislike FOAM but I do hope that the band steps out of their comfort zone a little bit more for the next album. They don't need to change producers, I think we'd all be happy to have Rob stay but they need to change things up a bit.
  23. Nah 3-4 year gap is still plenty of time

    02 - Bang Bang

this thread is really old but i feel like saying something about bang bang, my friend absolutely hates this song. he made fun of me for listening to it once, but whatever, i understand why some people might not like this song... though i remember seeing green day perform this song for the music awards in 2016. it was the first time i ever had heard the song. and when they did the "no trump, no kkk..." chant, it genuinely stuck to me for a while. that chant alone sort of brought some kind of immediate meaning to the song. i cant decipher lyrics well, so it really felt amazing how something so simple can reach out to me like that. genuinely the one of most relevant parts of a song i've ever heard, and that alone made me love the song so much. i love bang bang.
