Anyone know the deal about what led to the “fallout”‘between Rob Cavallo and Green Day?!?! This video mentions it but I believe Rob co-produced the album… I thought the fall out was after AI GD wanted Rob to be more involved but he wasn’t able to be as he had more commitments and roles on Reprise which made them go to Butch Vig…which I think they should work with again…and possibly to to Billie and the bands issues during th trilogy as Rev Rad was self produced…then going with Butch Walker for FOAM…something must have went down.

It was reported earlier by one of the cast members that Green Day did write songs for the movie including the ones performed by the young band in the film

I’d rather them do a biopic of the band personally than a movie inspired by the early days. I also hope that if they did write new songs for the movie we get versions of Green Day playing them as opposed to the actors. Hopefully there is a soundtrack with some new songs or rare live songs. From memory i think they preformed know your enemy, Basketcase, and good riddance live for the movie maybe holiday too I recall them posting a set list when they had extras for a mini concert that takes place in the movie

if subject matter affects a song, it probably isnt Bang Bang (especially since they wouldn't have played it at ALL in 2017)

Uptight is a bit tounge and cheek but so catchy I think the crowd would go nuts singing that one. I wonder because of subject matter that’s why they don’t play bang bang anymore which is a pity because that’s a top 10 Green Day song and kicks ass

not only did they bring back Paper Lanterns and I Was There this year, but nimrod has Platypus (dunno if they can physically do this song any more) & Uptight (too depressing for a live show) back to back although, Reject & Jinx debuting would be cool

I still don't care about this movie It looks fine! It would be cool to host a watch party on GDC. I'd rather see it with my Green Day peeps than just by myself.

movies gonna be sick the guy with dreadlocks is the lead singer of a local atlanta band called The Paradox. great music, highly reccomend checking them out they actually opened for Green Day at their Atlanta stop during the tour
