GoFundMe for Bookmobile and Broken Dreams car repairs
solongfromthestars replied to Liam's topic in Green Day Chat
Wouldn't these be better off in a museum at this point? They've had so many problems that as soon as these ones are solved, there'll be more problems and more fundraisers. Obviously it's incredible that fans have been able to see the vehicles at shows/events and I commend this lady for spending her own money to maintain them and get them there, but fans would be able to enjoy them in a museum too. It just seems like fighting a losing battle. -

Holy crap, I forgot about that cover of A New England! I used to listen to that a ton! Definitely part of my answer as well. I also really liked That’s Rock n Roll a bunch cause of how catchy it was and I Think We’re Alone Now of course. The late night performance Billie did with his sons was great too! Also, Jerry Falwell’s Pool Party is awesome, especially since I will defend Kill The DJ to the death. -
I must vote Fancy Sauce because that is the song that is in my head the most. It is such a catchy song and I think it earned a spot in my top 20 Green Day songs of all time. Honorable mentions are The American Dream Is Killing Me and Dilemma. Both are top tier Green Day songs. American Dream could be on 21st Century Breakdown, the first new album I heard as a fan of the band. I was so hyped when I first heard it. (Also, it won’t let me vote)

This is insanity. I commend her efforts though. I mean…i love Green Day to death. Will I spend my life savings on 2 obscure Green Day artifacts? Nah fam. If I owned them and they were in shambles, you Green Day fans could drag your sorry asses over to my house where they would be stored…dead and inoperable lol. -

Both The Network and No Fun Mondays were great surprises. Favorites off of the first- Fentanyl, Ivanka, and Degenerate. Favorite NFM- You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory and Amico. It was also great just to see Billie getting more attention by himself by the general public. Pollyanna was very much needed for me at that time. My mental health was at a low, and the message of things may not be great now but just hold on and everything will be okay was something I needed to hear then. -

I'm going to write up a article on GDA looking back at the stuff the band did/released during lockdown. What were some of your favorite things? My two were definitely covers of I Think We're Alone now and That Thing you Do

I was just becoming a fan right before know your enemy came out. Next thing I knew, my grandma was telling me how she just went to see their show and gave me the 21st Century Breakdown cd she bought there 😂. In 2010, my dad and I camped out at the stage they were playing at Lollapooza all day. That was the closest I’ve ever gotten to being picked to come up on stage. This album holds a special place in my heart and I still come back to it regularly. -

I remember that too. It was very 'uncool' to like it, or it made you a 'fake fan,' even on GDC. I guess fans have come to terms with Green Day being able to name an album after excrement but also being able to write a legendary concept album, and new fans are just discovering Green Day as a band that can do both so it's no surprise to them. I'm so glad it won a Grammy because it absolutely deserved it. -

Billie looked absolutely stunning at Rockville. Love the new shirt, love the dangly silver safety pin thing, all of it. He’s looking tanned, trim, very well and happy, wonderful. ❤️❤️
