A little over a year and a half since Saviors came out, so when could we start hearing any rumors or hints about album 15?

Billie said last year that he want's to tour with Pinhead Gunpowder I'm guessing that they will do a few shows in the US and that's it I wouldn't expect any more GD stuff in 2026, maybe even 2027. -

Has anyone heard anything specific about side projects coming up between now and between Green Day working on a new album? I hope it’s the Longshot or something new. -
It's funny that during the emo/pop punk boom of the 2000s, pop radio tried to minimize screams and guitars where possible. Taking out solos and bringing down the guitar in the mix was normal for the time, and ridiculous in hindsight. As for screams, an example is Underoath's "Reinventing Your Exit." The song is primarily screams, so taking them out just leaves weird empty space.

The piano intro is vastly inferior but on the plus side I don't feel insane now. Good find.

I got it when I was first getting into Green Day, it was the first footage of a Green Day concert I ever saw. I must have watched it 100 times lol

https://greenday.fm/audio/demos/ Quote from greenday.fm, "Demo leaked in Feb's 2009, with alternative lyrics and a piano intro". See link, 2nd entry down. I love demos, with alternative arrangements and those with alternative lyrics. Must admit I prefer album version I'll wager if they release a 20th anniversary box set in 2009 of 20th C, this will be one of the demos included.

Oh yeah, it definitely looked cool! She said it was a 20 minute photoshop job though, lol. But theres quite a few people that believe the unbelievably fake news article screenshots she makes so i guess that says she should work for the band...
-
Thanks for clarifying. But it’s sad, I liked the album cover and the title Saviors Summer!😅 Maybe your friend should work for the band…
-
nahhhh thats cursed XD

Looked up Norah Jones and she has a version of "Down in the Willow Garden" with Rufus Wainwright instead of Billie Joe. Hmm.

This was made by my friend. It's a green day meme account, this isn't real. A live album may be coming out but that one is very much likely fake

The image is edited, it's not real.

Not sure how I've never seen this before. I don't think the raw demo sound suits the song well, and I definitely like the original intro more in the context of an album and show opener. If they ever randomly decide to whip this one out in the middle of a show (where there is Forever Now, there is hope), this intro would suit it better.

Your absolutely right

Do you mean 21 Guns? I definitely remember hearing a version that dropped pianos into a couple of spots where they weren’t on the album.
-
Yes, it is Dookie. And the code worked fine…

I don't drink coffee, but it's Dookie right? I know it is but I have a compulsion to have it verified!

Does any remember Bullet in a Bible?

I was there too! Both nights! -
On the subject of "lost" media I swear there was a leaked version of 21st Century Breakdown not long before it came out where the acoustic guitar intro was a piano instead.

One of the things that's made me happiest about streaming is the death of the radio edit. Editing out slurs and not dropping F-bombs on top 40 stations at 8:00 AM, sure, I get it, but there are two long-standing traditions in radio that I hate. One, they speed up the songs' playback. Two, they slice and dice anything they have to to bring a song down to three minutes. That's how 21 Guns on the radio ended up without the guitar solo that the whole thing is built around, and it's why if you've ever thought that Know Your Enemy sounded slightly faster in your car than it does on your iPhone, well, you're right. The radio edit completely ruins songs.

We absolutely need a 21CB anniversary box set. Since Butch Vig said that they had about 70 unfinished songs or part of songs I'm really curious how early version might sound like
