Yes! Really loved these two demos (especially Misery), with the half-baked lyrics and Billie (I think) being like "it's the bridge" in the middle of Misery Loved it. I know everyone is obsessed with the Otis mix of Macy's Day Parade, and I love it too, but I m actually obsessed with the demo. I just love it. All the sounds towards the end give it a tropical vibe (in my brain at least 😅) that reminds me of my hometown and gives me all the feels.
-
I definitely did not enjoy a majority of the live tracks on this Warning 2025 remaster album, that's for sure. The Misery demo was really hard to hear, it must have been damaged or something

My partner is learning to play the saxophone, and my first reaction was to run to him and tell him, "here, you need to learn to play this now"

Anyone have insight on this? The Broadcast Collection 1992-1998
CatfishNoodling replied to CatfishNoodling's topic in Green Day Chat
Great find! I'm starting to think the 9/13/1994 broadcast might be of the March 11, 1994 St. Petersburg, Florida show. -
It's a very nice looking box set and the book has a lot of cool information. Hold On was written because a friend of a friend of Billie's was dying, wow. There was a misunderstanding about the orchestral parts on the album because they thought Billie wanted Within You Without You by the Beatles when he asked for With or Without You" by U2. Haha here's the guy who wrote the notes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Wild

It's a cash grab. If you just want to listen to it, download it. If you want to own it physically, buy it, but maybe you'll find it cheaper somewhere. A torrent tracker states: CD 1 - KSAN FM Broadcast - Club Rio, Tempe, AZ - 13th September 1994 CD 2 - WBCCN FM Broadcast - Aragon Ballroom, Chicago - 18th November 1994 CD 3 - WROQ FM Broadcast - House of Blues, Myrtle Beach, SC - 6th May 1998 CD 4 - WFMU FM Studios - East Orange, NJ - 28th May 1992 I'm not sure about CD 1. I've never heard of that show and there's no thread in the download section for that date. But it has been available digitally for at least 4 years: https://www.qobuz.com/mx-es/album/green-day-ksan-fm-broadcast-club-rio-tempe-az-13th-september-1994-green-day/vkrxb2esz0tob Here's a FLAC download link if anyone's interested: https://mega.nz/folder/M6pBUSTa#NbPhaIYj9MwG4QHpKhnjkg -

Seems like an obvious package of bootlegs. https://www.amazon.com/Green-Day-Broadcast-Collection-1992-1998/dp/B0FWFR5G8Y Found a download link: https://mega.nz/folder/fIU3USZB#vBRDMFqBBuYvmOG0ZSnh3A Is anyone able to identify the show dates? The fourth disc appears to be from the "On the Radio", 05-28-1992 broadcast. -

This is my first anniversary box set. I generally don't re-purchase music I already own even if it's a deluxe, remaster, etc. I just listen to the extras on streaming once or twice and then forget they exist. But for the deal on Amazon it was worth it. I've been listening to it non-stop. I put Warning on my Christmas CD list in 2000 (my parents could not be bothered to learn my taste in music, the list was necessary along with instructions on what CDs should not be bought at Wal-Mart). Of course my friends and I had already listened to it via the Napster leaks which is probably the reason I didn't go out and buy it myself when it released. I remember my boyfriend at the time telling me I was lame for liking it. I don't think I told any of my friends that I got it because when you're 16 you care way too much about what your friends think. At the time I didn't think anything could top Nimrod or Pearl Jam's Vs. as my favorite albums and Warning blew them both out of the water. It's remained my favorite album ever since.

That was printed in the original booklet; I'm fairly certain it refers to the whoa-oh-oh gang vocal section.

this should have a thread in the download links section. at least the tracks that aren't on the anniversary release -
I’ll go to the grave saying Dreamcatcher needs to one day be released as that can be a huge hit worldwide in my opinion
-
You mean, from their famous album Cookie? (Sorry, couldn’t resist….😉😁)
-
That's All Right is on the "deluxe pre-order" of 21st Century breakdown but it's not available in the United States. A lot of the rarer songs can be found on the green day fm archivist site such as Dreamcatcher which hasn't ever been released.

Bought a Cookie shirt about a year or two ago. I want the American Idiot one next.

I don't want to create a new topic, so I'll post it here For those interested in playing guitar, especially Billie's style, I've recorded a short tutorial. This video may help you to take a closer look at his technique. I think Billie's style is very distinctive and unique – fast strumming with downward sudden breaks. This video may help you to take a closer look at his technique.

Today I caught my husband singing Warning to himself (the song, not the whole album 🤣). He admitted that it’s a good song! Now I am proud! It’s a long way but we’ll get there… -

I got a 90 day free trial of Amazon music by purchasing the discounted box set. I won't use it but nice! Looking at my old cd booklet, Fashion Victim says "youth crew" randomly but I don't hear that lyric. What?

I just think the Warning man is such a great design it was criminal not to put it on the cover. I have the physical CD from 20 years ago and it's fine but not their most interesting cover That's really weird lmao. I'm kind of glad I'm not buying this and just listening to it for free
