Can't believe the Good Riddance thing has had this much attention. I posted my video thinking it was harmlessly funny, but I kind of wish I hadn't now because yes, it's been blown out of proportion. The kid is 14. It was very obvious he was nervous and there was possibly a language barrier. Even if it was intentional trolling, it was funny and didn't come across as anything more. Billie wasn't angry and I think most fans were glad it meant they got to hear Billie playing it π It was also funny when someone held up a sign in Amsterdam and Billie read it, then said 'I'M playing Good Riddance.' Didn't we all do stupid shit at 14?

It was very hot in the morning for sure. Wasn't expecting the weather to change that much and after the show it was cold too. When I see how it's been with the last two tours getting VIP makes more and more sense to me - of course I would prefer how it was before they sold VIP tickets, but it doesn't seem to be going away so. The show was really good. This was easily top three after Vienna (first night) and Oslo for me. -

They may broadcast it at a later time. Most of the line-up times don't add up to the stream schedule. https://www.rockwerchter.be/en/line-up/friday/all -

I left Italy without a hoodie or a light jumper because I looked the weather and it was supposed to be hot. Yeah sure, let's talk about the wind and the rain in the afternoon. It was cold. But I arrived at the venue at 9 am straight to the airport and I was melting. As I said to 2 girls that were behind me, "I'm a stupid italian who thought I'm going to the north, it's going to be cold" LOL Talking about VIP, I had the CAS one and I ended up on the side of the stage by Mike. I def have preferred a more central spot considering the price. Not angry at all because I arrived the day of the show so I literally did my best. But idk about this VIP thing. The show was AMAZING btw. -

I was curious to see how this show would go with the weather because it was so warm in the morning, but in the afternoon it wasn't hot anymore at all. I was actually a little cold during the show and had to go and change before I got my after show snacks. π I got barrier on the side of the stage/by Jason. Wasn't the best spot but without getting VIP I was very happy with it. π The golden circle section was smaller than the Vienna shows and it worked well in my experience. 2000 light years away was the highlight for me. π©· Loved that they didn't play Fuck off and it was fun with the changes they made with Revolution radio, Saviors and Look Ma, No brains. When Billie Joe said "I'm playing Good riddance tonight" with a smile on his face I laughed out loud. π They all seemed very happy and smiled a lot. The more shows I go to the more I see how much I love this band. π After this tour (this was the last show for me) I've realized that I need to start buying VIP tickets. Shows is so much better from front row and when you're around people who love the band as much as you it's a better experience. When I was waiting outside the venue I heard some talk about Good Riddance/Wonderwall and this one guy said "but he tell you which words to sing and which notes to play right". And I'm like what. If you don't know the lyrics why would you want to get up on stage in the first place. I laughed at the Wonderwall thing but come on. π -
Iβm sorry, he may have got caught up in the excitement but it strikes me that heβs an arrogant little shit to behave like that.

It's one of the phone messages that's already been linked here but I remember it, it wasn't to the record label it was a message to update the fans on their progress with the next album. He was saying how they had a bunch of songs but that they weren't going to put out anything they weren't happy with. Then the messages stopped for a while and next thing they talked about was American Idiot. It's cool to listen in order you definitely hear that transition period from Warning to C&V to AI.

Not the brightest bulb in the box is he? And ofc why would he volunteer to be picked if he knew he couldn't play the song and also didn't want to embarrass himself?

I used to come onto this forum religiously around the release of 21st Century Breakdown. I stayed till around the Trilogy era ending and god, I miss this community! Mind you, I forgot my old log-in!

the kid got interviewed today at one of the bigger german radio stations he said he knew that he was not able to play good riddance because he didnt know all of the songs guitar chords, so he stopped his attempt to play good riddance because he didnt want to embarrass himself. he then wanted to play a song that everyone knows and "loves", so he started wonderwall π«’

Aw man I was hoping for a later broadcast of Southside Festival as well, but that didn't happen as well. I wonder why they decided to allow Hurricane to stream but Southside and Werchter not. Maybe too much GD otherwise? haha -

Looking for a specific audio of Beej. Saw it on reddit a while back. A VM that Billie had presumably left on the answering machine of someone at the record label. From around 2003 (C&Vs era). He didn't mention album names or anything. But that he had about 12 songs and some of them were good and some of the material wasn't up to snuff. I guess its rare. But its a fascinating relic. Could prove the theory that the whole story of the album being stolen was a crock lol. Anyone know the audio's whereabouts? π

We had a fantastic show in Vienna but god I wish I could have got Saviors live, I love that song so much.
