Maaaaan, this is so heartbreaking, I'm glad they're at least putting these box sets out now so stuff like this doesn't continue getting lost to time.

Lights Out lives rent free in my head sometimes for some reason. It is not a favorite Green Day song of mine, but it sure if an earworm...

I was going to hold off for now too but bought it at that price! Even with the shipping to the UK it's less than half the price it is over here! £55 on Amazon UK. Edit - or maybe it's not letting me buy it at that price from the UK. Whatever I try it won't accept the payment method. Will just have to wait!
-
I was happy to pay full price but it seems odd that the Uk (and others?) are paying such a different price?!

The music scene in the early y2k are really something. Something in today's music scene won't capture it. You know what i mean The original artwork for warning is already perfect for me mostly when you have it physically. The artwork colors looks more vibrant or something than digitally on your phone or monitor screen

I was looking at 2000's album release and WHOA. So many great albums that year, I can't even type them all (I tried). Pretty much every album that came out in 2000 was a banger. Is warning the best though? Yeah, I think so. I was 15 when warning came out. Nimrod had blown my mind and had me seeking out all kinds of new music - a very exciting period. They weren't my #1 favorite yet. That would come after warning - with the one-two punch of International Superhits and Shenanigans - and that INSANE build up to their much whispered about rock opera. 25 years. whoa.

And yet the official Green Day/Warner store still has it at full price. If I had pre-ordered from there I’d be pissed.

I wasn't going to buy this.....but it's 17 bucks on amazon so I just bought it.

I‘ve been watching this and I love it!😍 Great job! Thank you so much! -
speaking of that new website, i just checked it out and god, the color scheme is just fucking with my eyes right now. i hate how the colors look together. neon green and hot pink... doesn't really go well together. i know redesigning and making websites in general is fairly hard, but i guess they could've at least put the effort to color it green or something... or just not put the warning cover behind the big pink letters? i dunno. i hate the way it clashes.

Finally we get some demos that don't sound like the completed songs - with Billie running through Misery and Jackass with seemingly no lyrics to speak of. Very interesting that Mike and Tre wrote lyrics for Misery - maybe they really loved the melody but Billie didn't any verse ideas.
-
The front of the boxset box is what the cover of the album always should've been! Nice to see the warning man used properly
-
Another half cooked move by reprise. At least otis mixes are cool and different, even if Waiting has rerecorded guitars. Demos are ok, but nothing more revealing. Sad

Would you believe my painter showed me snippets that look very like this. He’s Polish and a pal of his shot some of this I believe, he was actually there for some of the shows!

Check out this brand-new 45-minute documentary about Green Day concert, which took place in post-communist Poland in Novbember 1991. It’s a record of memories shared by musicians, fans and above all - organisers. Great stories. Video down below; I hope the link works; if not - search by name. Channel on youtube: video4bands / title: A jednak tu byli - film dokumentalny o koncertach GREEN DAY w Polsce w 1991 roku

This seems accurate. Walmart is also selling at the same price, which leads me to believe Warner is working with them to coordinate the price drops to pump sales (source: also worked at a label where this stuff happened).

Usually it happens

Let’s hope so!😊

starting to wonder if maybe Warning, Hold On, Waiting and Minority's demos were closer to the final release, hense why they weren't in the box

It's Amazon's decision. They're probably selling it below their wholesale rate at a loss at this point, because Amazon is big enough to take the loss. They just want to make SOMETHING back. They do that if they're trying to offload inventory, so it tells me preorders (at least for the CDs) did not do very well. At least, that was the case when this sort of thing would happen at the label I worked for.

Usually it will be stream on every iHeartRadio platform in audio and video. I have on my computer a Blink 182 show from 2020 and last year's Sum 41 show in video format. Will it probably US only, but a recording will surface

I mean, it says 2025 remaster. But yeah, can't really hear a difference. What's even more interesting is that the original album on Apple Music has songs at high res lossless, 192 kHz, while the remasters are listed at 96 kHz. Anyone out there able to do a spectral analysis?

I never thought I would utter these words, but here we go: I kinda liked the saxophone during 2,000 Light Years Away.

Billie's vocals on the Blood Sex and Booze demo are slightly creepy and I like it. The unintelligible words/shouting at the end is different lol, is he actually saying anything or just random sounds? Glow in the dark Warning man shirt for my brother's Christmas present just arrived 😊
