Here Comes the Shock Removed from Spotify in various countries

I thought this was a new thread and was like “wow they really don’t like this song” but uh, it’s not new. I just checked my Spotify and it’s still on there though I must have taken off my playlist which makes me laugh cause I don’t remember taking it off but I can stay off. I don’t hate the FOAM era but this and RFA are probably my least favorite Green Day songs out of the discography. But at least I got satisfaction of my ex paying for that and FOA on his VR set up after we broke up.

I too am experiencing the strange sensation of this album now being older than I was when it came out (15 years old!) Happy birthday 21CB, you've aged like a fine wine!

    Brain Stew Cover

Hi everyone, Our band 'Kasem' from Melbourne did a cover of Brain Stew that will be coming out on the 30th of May. It's not only a tribute to the band but it's a very meaningful song for a band member who had a severe case of insomnia with psychiatric implications. You are welcome to follow us/pre save through the links if anyone is interested. https://show.co/MHzA4Ej https://www.instagram.com/kasemtheband/

Talking of which, can't remember if we discuss 'Official Music Video's much? Do we love 'em, hate 'em, or just indifferent. 4, I think. 21st C, Know Your Enemy, 21 Guns & Last of the American Girls. Imho 21st C just edges it. Remember seeing a doc' on making of 21 Guns, which was a tad scary.

Amazing album. I could spend hours talking about how fantastic it is. All 18 tracks imo are great. What I will say is I think it's only getting more popular with time. While there have always been plenty of people who appreciate this album for the masterpiece it is, I think I'm seeing people call it their favourite album more and more over time. When people discover Green Day's music through American Idiot or Saviors or whatever new album they release, 21CB is likely going to be an album that stands out to them if they like those albums. The rise of Last Night on Earth on streaming (it's in the band's Top 10 on Spotify now despite that track being a non-single) is gonna bring more people to the album. And I think the variety that this album has compared to some of their other album's only makes it stand out more. I think no matter what they did after American Idiot, it wasn't possible for the band to please everyone. But when people just listen to the album for what it is and don't try to think of it as the "follow up to American Idiot", they're much more likely to appreciate it for what it is.
  22. Seems like they're headed to South America...
  23. Welcome to Rockville is being streamed. The festival is live-streaming the stages via the Danny Wimmer Presents Twitch channel. Additionally, the festival offers live audio and video streams of the performances in their Shaded open-air lounges, according to their website. SiriusXM is also providing live broadcasts from the festival on Octane (Ch. 37) and on a special limited-engagement channel, Rockville Radio, according to their website. That's off of Goggle. Can anyone record any of those options of the show tonight????

    Saviors song meanings for GDA

I've always interpreted as it being about him trying to say good bye to alcoholism, even before discovering just now through your post that the Adeline street in Oakland has a lots of bars and club (before I thought maybe he just associated the Adeline records era of his life, or the people involved in the project, with alcoholism or something) - with this new information now I'm feeling even more convinced about it. The "I'm gonna drink my wine and let it go" being like "I'm gonna have my last drink, and start being sober tomorrow", but then not quite following through (when you're (supposed to be) sober, but you still wake up with a hangover") and knowing that sooner or later he'll have to say goodbye for real. I hadn't considered before he could be saying good bye to an actual person, and that's an interesting interpretation as well, fits with the "I'll see you later when I get my shit together" line too. This reminds me of my good old days writing song meanings for geekstinkbreath.net

I remember seeing a comment about how they only did CI 4 times because it was story tied (or smth like that) yet they still regularly do Jimmy, Are We and Letterbomb which are all tied to AI's story HEAVLY

Agreed on all accounts! Specially how good (and underrated) the 21CB video is.
