But my brother and dad sound exactly the same when they sing even though they don't when they talk so that could be the case here It's a cool cover, a big song to tackle but they pull it off well! Literally no one is sticking up for Joey. Bringing up the scandal in a thread about a cover he did with his OTHER son is extremely distasteful. Calling Bowie creep who sleeps with minors, based on mysoginistic rumors about Lori Maddox, despite other instances and behaviors proving otherwise is extremly distasteful. Comparing a grown man sleeping with teenage groupies, to a 22yo kid being in a relationship with a 17yo younger kid is extremely distasteful. Those are the only things I’m saying. Never did I stick up for Joey, I believe his victim and I believe he was abusive, based on her stories. But that is not due to his age, but his behavior towards her. I will no elaborate on it any further, just wanted to clear it up that I’m no supporting an abuser. Thanks. We feel like it has nothing to do with the subject at hand

I'd be careful about bringing up the whole Joey story.. I once dared to give an objective opinion about the whole situation and situations like that in general, and then got accused by a certain moderator for ''writing an essay defending statutory rape'' and got warning.. I was insulted to my very own core, especially considering my whole life believes and stances are a full hard 180 from that. Fuck those assholes. Fuck hypocrisy and twisting words. Viva Green Day!

Depending on time and what lies ahead for my day, I stop everything and listen to a song or album at random. It stays in my head for the day and sets me up, to keep me sane or insane, lol. No matter what shit comes my way, I see it through the eyes of Green Day and I stay crazy. Today, and for a while recently, I keep coming back to Basket Case, the 4-track demo from Dookie Anniversary box set. With those alternative lyrics, and Billie Joe's phenomenal guitar playing, holy shit I love this version, Billie Joe you never cease to amaze me. I can't stop playing it and it won't leave my head. Not that I'm complaining. 😄
