The Green Day Fangirls' Confessions Thread
GreenDayJunkie86 replied to BeachBum's topic in Green Day Chat
Wow, I didn't know it was their first time EVER in Greece. Pretty cool . Some cute pics in hereeeee. My fav is the 12th picture of the post ❤️ https://www.instagram.com/p/DL0mzS_yHxT/ -
So inspirational. I remember when I was first getting into Green Day, and I watched Bullet In A Bible for the first time. Watching them put so much emotion into something really inspired me, and it still does today. I remember listening to the instrumental of Boulevard of Broken Dreams when the credits rolled at the end of Bullet In A Bible, and I remember thinking how inspirational and amazing this band is. I love Warning (the album) so much ❤️

Thank you all so much!!! I appreciate it so much. This interview is so great, and even gave me more help on analyzing other songs on Warning. -

I‘m not the one who asked for it but I enjoyed reading the interview nevertheless. Thank you for posting the link! Fascinating to read the thoughts of 28 year old Billie. „We‘re not a political band.“ Well, that has changed… -

According to songmeanings.com it is from a NY Rock interview from 2000, it does include a link to the interview but the website appears to no longer be active. -
2024/06/29 - Wembley Stadium, London, United Kingdom
Mollyluna replied to Lindsay's topic in The Saviors Tour
Thank you, interesting! Last Friday we were at Rock Werchter with a crowd of about 90.000. So there probably were more people but it was a festival and therefore maybe not comparable. -
2024/06/29 - Wembley Stadium, London, United Kingdom
Tomcat20 replied to Lindsay's topic in The Saviors Tour
Google: Green Day's Wembley Stadium concert on June 29th, 2024, drew an impressive crowd of approximately 75,000 to 80,000 people. The concert, part of their "Saviors Tour," marked their biggest UK show to date. Some sources even mention a sold-out show with a potential capacity of 90,000, but 75,000-80,000 is the more commonly cited figure, according to some concert reviews and fan accounts. -
Does anyone have a source for this quote about Church on Sunday?
kybry13 posted a topic in Green Day Chat
This is a long shot, but I'm currently in the process of writing a script for a video essay all about Warning. I found a supposed quote from Billie Joe Armstrong about the song Church on Sunday on multiple websites (Wikipedia, Green Day Wiki, and GeekStinkBreath. net), although I cannot find a direct source of this quote anywhere that is verifiable. I'll put the quote below, but I was curious if anyone had a direct source (interview, video) where BJA says this? Thanks! "Church on Sunday deals with compromises in the relationship I have with my wife. You have to compromise in every relationship. If you want it to work out you've always got to look ahead, have a future in front of your eyes and work on your relationships, no matter if they're with your partner or with friends. There will always be problems, but you've got to find solutions, or at least try to find solutions. I really hope there is a solution for every problem. " -
VIP and Ticket Prices Discussion
Rumpelstiltskin2000 replied to solongfromthestars's topic in Green Day Chat
This! In the beginning I was on the fence about the VIP tickets but as the tour has carried on it's becoming more unacceptable and good spots on the barrier are only accessible to people with money and some who can buy them for every single show of the tour to stand with their phones out all night And quite frankly Calling all Saviors doesn't guarantee safe and organised entry to the venue. At some shows they make people walk and at others it's just a shit show. Sometimes the VIP host doesn't even bother to show up -
A Documentary coming to Netflix?
GreenDayJunkie86 replied to iTokerBoySwag's topic in Green Day Chat
I believe this is the one for Tubi, I don't know about BIAB https://tubitv.com/movies/100036736/green-day-20-years-of-american-idiot -
Yeees, but I guess the band will want to have some crowd interaction nevertheless. Right, I think and hope there will be something after the Saviors tour is finished.
-
i prefer to not hear the crowd anyways i still cant really enjoy the BIAB recordings because of the *constant* screaming of some girls haha and i know about the wembley show, maybe they will use several shows like they did with Awesome As Fuck, i fully expect them to release something in their upcoming "break"

The sound might be good, but not the crowd consisting of casino players. If you have a look at the Wembley 2024 thread you will find a link posted today that shows that Wembley was recorded professionally. So this might get to be the live album…
-
didnt realize they *never* played a show in greece before wow!
-
the very last show of the saviors tour will be at the end of september in california, in a theater do you think its possible they choose this location to record a proper live album? because the acoustic/sound must be very good in a theater this big
-
lol, yes, 14 year old did something without thinking it through, lol, I don't wanna live in a world where we don't allow teens to get away with harmless, stupid things. I actually thought later that maybe the guy had a complete brain fart and forgot how to play Good Riddance as soon as he got up there so just played a song he knew, I have extreme anxiety and can see this being something that would happen to me, lol

Worst comes to worst he won't have time to reply or even read your message, but it's worth asking politely, he seems a decent person. You'll probably have to pay for an original but I'm sure it will be reasonable. Best of luck.
