  4. I wanna hold you like a gun, we'll shoot the moon into the sun 😅 Billie Joe is my favorite song writer of all times, by a long shot, but that line is so terrible. And the way the music emphasizes it, makes it impossible to not pay attention. It ruined the song for me. I also don't care for Ordinary World 🤷‍♀️ The rest of the album is great though. I love Say Goodbye, it's actually among the top songs in the album for me. Agreed that Somewhere Now/Forever Now is an amazing combo and opening and closer (all the more offensive Ordinary World becomes by just popping up after Forever Now 😅).
  5. The Grouch, Redundant, and now Haushinka... someone remind me why I decided to stay home? 😅

Green Day Release One Eyed Bastard Live!

I don’t think we’re getting any official live product that isn’t at least pitch corrected these days. It’s just considered professionally standard. I also agree that it isn’t necessary and I’d prefer to hear the vocals without any processing but good luck getting the suits at Warner to agree to put something out (ie spend money) they’d consider “unpolished”. I’d be curious to see what the last live cuts that we got without vocal tuning were. Bowling Parking? Tune In Tokyo? It doesn’t diminish my excitement. Having these is like a memento of the tour, a snapshot of a moment in time. A really amazing tour and era for the band deserves commemoration. Would I prefer to have my cake and eat it too? Of course. But I’d rather get live tracks with vocal tuning over them taking their ball and going home because they’re playing purists. They’ve always been willing to play ball to advance their careers betting that in the long term their music will stand the test of time.
  7. Is quite funny. Before the show, somebody started to play drums like a soundcheck in front of all the crowd. Then I heard a known fill. It was Haushinka. And then it WAS PLAYED. Absolutely insane. I never thought that 86 in vienna would be tied so fast lmao

Green Day Release One Eyed Bastard Live!

It's clearly altered/tuned though... If you compare with a audience recording from the same gig, it's clear that some parts were corrected in the second verse for instance. It's for this reason I don't see the point with live audio-only releases such as this, and why someone would be excited about a full album. It's not the real deal anyway. I also think's its especially dissapointing that a band such as Green Day agree to this, considering their roots and what come from, so to speak. Since the visual side of the experience is entirely (quite literally) out of the picture, obviously the listener pays even more attention to how the performance sounds. It's less forgiving with audio only, in that sense. So I think most people wouldn't notice smaller mistakes our single words slightly out of tune in the same way, with both audio and video. Sadly I think a potential "Live at Wembley" Blu-Ray would be just as post-processed though, sadly... It's just where we're at.

Revolution Radio was ALMOST one of their best albums

It has two bangers: somewhere now/forever now (10/10) One skippeable song: ordinary world (i think It left and doesn't fit in the album). All other songs are very good, at least than 7/10. Dookie, american idiot, nimrod, kerplunk and Rev radio are my top 5
  10. Little Boy Named Booze

Revolution Radio was ALMOST one of their best albums

Not only their best album. In my opinion it was their best tour too. The setlist was something.

Haushinka wtf!? @That Dude your song!!
  12. Christian's Inferno!

Revolution Radio was ALMOST one of their best albums

Say Goodbye should absolutely be on the album. Youngblood is pretty bland and I don't care for Ordinary World. Outlaws is also a track I wouldn't really miss all that much if it didn't exist anymore. RevRad is a solid album. I used to really like it, it was in my top 5 Green Day albums at one point but it's only gotten lower and lower down in my ranking of their albums. It's much better than FOAM but it doesn't have a whole lot that makes it stand out. Bang Bang is definitely the best song on the album. But I honestly think the trilogy is better. I think the trilogy has actually aged pretty well tbh and people judge it unfairly because of some of the weaker tracks. I expect some weaker tracks on an album trilogy but still think it's remarkably consistent for what it is. Very few bands could make and release a trilogy of albums within the time that Green Day did and have it be as consistent as Uno Dos Tré is imo. I do think Saviors is a similar album to RevRad but ranks higher for me personally because it has better production and some better lyrical content. I don't really care all that much for the lyrics on either album compared to a lot of their earlier albums but Saviors is their best written post-21CB imo. RevRad suffers a lot from its self production. I still enjoy listening to RevRad in full but there are a lot of albums I would choose to listen to over it.

Revolution Radio was ALMOST one of their best albums

Never understood the hate for Youngblood and ordinary world. Youngblood is super catchy and a great ode to 80! Love it. Ordinary World is beautiful. Say Goodbye and Outlaws I can do without slightly boring, troubled times is eh…it’s one of their better albums I’d say better then the trilogy better then FOAM on par but not better then Saviors. But does not touch 21st Century Breakdown that is a masterpiece. Not better than Dookie/Insomniac/nimrod that era was awesome music. I’d put it over 1,039 smoothed out slappy hours as well as Kerplunk maybe tied with warning I’d put it 7th not better then dookie/insomniac/nimrod/AI/21st/Saviors but better then their first two the trilogy foam tied with warning better than the network releases and Foxboro hot tubs so high middle. B I’d give it

    Random Green Day Thoughts

Wow, would not have predicted them playing Haushinka, would have loved to have been there for that.

    Random Green Day Thoughts

with todays show, Haushinka has officially beaten Sweet Children's record of longest time between 2 plays live, at over 1559 (fully verified) shows inbetween plays there are only 5 songs that could break Haushinka's record now. (counting verified setlists) Best Thing In Town, Rest, and Strangeland+ I Want To Be Alone and The One I Want (assuming they weren't played in 97)

Can we stop pretending Shenanigans doesn't kick ass?

I'm a bit younger, by the time I was born all that stuff was out. I did still grow up on it though. American Idiot was one of (I believe it was THE) first album I ever listened to in full when I was about 11. 7 years later and I have a collection of over 300 different albums by various artists I love (10 of which are Green Day).
