I know! It's hard being back in an environment where "they played [insert here deep cut song title] 😭" is a sentence and a feeling that require a lot of explanation, which will just be received with a lot of eye rolls and/or confused expressions 😂
-
i remember the old Idiot club for just a few bucks that let you get early entry etc not a fan of all the VIP FOS GoldenCircle stuff nowadays ... most of the shows i went too that had this kind of stuff have been pretty lame, you get all the influencers etc at FOS who constantly film, and the other fans back in the general standing area, but atleast its them who make some effort to jump around etc

Good luck with the essay! I'd love to read it Actually if you want help proof reading DM me, because I am an absolute FREAK who enjoys proof reading, lol -
We should really give the band a break now. And our wallets too, haha. I think this whole VIP thing kind of ruins a lot of the excitement beforehand … but I guess we’ll have to get used to it for future tours. It’ll probably get even more expensive.
-
This tour was the first time I had a „queuing experience“ and more contact with other fans, and it wasn’t until afterwards that I realized that this was a big part of what made it so special. So whenever they’ll be back, VIP tickets, queuing and WhatsApp groups again for me, please!🙂
-
Late as usual 🤣 I discovered that there’s a deluxe version of Awesome as Fuck on Spotify. I just listened to Christie Road live and it blew me away! OMG it’s so beautiful!❤️
-
Please we *need* this! Let there be a live album of the Dookie/AI anniversary/Saviors tour.

For the folks that had VIP tickets to more shows than just Vienna, how was the experience at the other shows?

Definitely. 🩷 I wasn't queing for any of the shows. Same as the last tour before of the VIPs and it's definitely different. It's by no means similar standing next to someone who freaks out during 21 guns and next to someone who get's as excited as you when they play the deep cuts. Standing with someone you've been queing with all day at the barrier is sort of like "we made it". 😅👸🏼 My experiences with queing in Paris has been the worst. From people in the queue, the crowd and to security (all from handeling the queue/moving us to different places, letting us in, one guard physically held me back without any reason, I wasn't running or anything, refusing to give information in English and one security guard wouldn't give me water until a French man next to me asked in French. It was very obvious what I was asking for). Glad your experience was good. 🩷 -

Hey! I'm 34, still queuing, jumping up and down and singing along to every song, and no intention to quit in the foreseeable future, and in the queues I've met people much older than I am, who are also traveling to see Green Day, also queuing all day to get a good spot, and also super hyped to see their favorite band. Your enjoyment of the band and of live music doesn't have an expiration date. -

I was also right next to the mosh pit in Lux (to the left of it), and that one was a bit more stressful though. I had a family with a small kid next to me and I was stressed for the kid most of the show, trying to make sure no one would fall over her. I have heard similar comments regarding France from @solongfromthestars and @Rumpelstiltskin2000, but my very limited experience queuing here was the Paris and Lyon shows last year, and they were both quite nice! No issues during the queue, everyone was friendly and respectful. Towards the end of the day there's always someone who wants to cut to the front of the queue and complaining or making stuff up about the numbering system/fan organized queue (the classic "I've been here since 3 AM but I didn't realize everyone else around me had numbers, and no one has actually seen me at the queue at any point of the day" 🙄), but I've found that to happen in most places, I don't think it was any worse or more frequent at these shows. -

I missed it too for the Lux and Ams show where I didn't queue! I feel it adds an extra something to the experience, you get hyped with the rest of the people in the queue during the day, and at the end they are the ones around you, so it's really enjoying the concert with friends. I still ended up having a lot of fun at both shows though, and Amsterdam was my favorite show of the tour. I was also right next to the mosh pit in this one! (kind of in front and of the right of the edge of the mosh pit) - it somehow worked in my favor because every time the mosh pit got intense I was pushed further and further to the front I started the show about midway between the catwalk and the back of golden circle, and ended about 4th row on the right corner of the catwalk. The only stressful time was at the end of the show, Tre threw some drumsticks to my section of the crowd, and all I could do was try not to get trampled as people rushed to try to get it. I swear at some point my feet were not touching the ground and my body was at an angle with regards to the floor, being sandwiched between people trying to bend and pick the drumstick. And I didn't even see him when he threw them, so I didn't immediately understand what was going on and felt just blind panic for about 5 seconds. -
It looks like they had a good time. 🩷 I like that she included some stuff from Oslo. The boat trip looked fun. My bank account is sad too but I'm happy so. 🤷🏼♀️😂 Missing the shows though. 🥺
-
My bank account is happy that there are no other tours / shows in sight, but the rest of me is pretty sad. This tour was so much fun, with the traveling to new cities meeting so many fellow fans, and of course the shows themselves and the deep cuts we got

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DL4H7B0tc5o/?igsh=MXEybm10a2NpeWFrcg== Tre‘s wife Sara posted this video of the European tour on IG. Of course it’s mostly about her own experiences and family but there are some nice scenes with the band too.

Wow, I didn't know it was their first time EVER in Greece. Pretty cool . Some cute pics in hereeeee. My fav is the 12th picture of the post ❤️ https://www.instagram.com/p/DL0mzS_yHxT/ -
So inspirational. I remember when I was first getting into Green Day, and I watched Bullet In A Bible for the first time. Watching them put so much emotion into something really inspired me, and it still does today. I remember listening to the instrumental of Boulevard of Broken Dreams when the credits rolled at the end of Bullet In A Bible, and I remember thinking how inspirational and amazing this band is. I love Warning (the album) so much ❤️

I‘m not the one who asked for it but I enjoyed reading the interview nevertheless. Thank you for posting the link! Fascinating to read the thoughts of 28 year old Billie. „We‘re not a political band.“ Well, that has changed… -
