If anyone has an extra ticket, I’d totally buy it off you! -
Over here at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_music_considered_the_worst and our Green Day makes the list, with Father of All being called "the worst reviewed album of the 21st Century. Come on, it's a great record. Also, I'm having a great time listening to the other stuff on the list. It's either pretty good or so hilariously bad that it's good.

Tickets are still on sale as of now. Only $33. I would go, but live a few hours away and probably wouldn't make it in time -

thank you all SO much for these replies 🥹 I smiled reading each of them. love you all, love this fandom 🫶 I completely agree with this!! I saw them for the first time in 2009 too. Hella Mega felt very phoned in to me in some ways and I started to grieve a bit then… but Saviors totally turned it around. I hope they saw and felt how different it was the most recent tour!

If that story is true it sounds like a serious concussion!
-
My only worry just now is if one of them develops an illness otherwise I see them keeping on going for a few years yet. Tre may have to get back-up though as he has such an energetic performance, not sure how long he can keep that up.

lmao i cant imagine what great grandpa billie will sing about though

Billie won't hit retirement age until 2037 and besides.... he has some pretty significant job satisfaction. lol Green Day will likely put out albums 15, 16 and 17 by 2037. Big tours for each one? Probably. Album 18 in 2039 - the guys are 67. Maybe this "retirement age" phase slows things down a little. Album 19 - 2043 - the guys are 71. Maybe slowing down a tiny bit, but they all seem healthy, wealthy and happy so who knows? Could go for some time. The oldest known musician performed until they were 111, so......maybe Green Day will outdo that record and keep the momentum going until 2084. Green Day Album 30 would be a nice, even number to go out on. Will it be any good? Will we be in the nursing homes blasting it? Maybe. Things will be awesome in 2084, guys. There's no reason to think otherwise. Earth rules! Humans rock! Everything is awesome!

Green Day anxiety & getting older
Tre's Busted Drumkit replied to lucky_stars's topic in Green Day Chat
Won't lie, I jumped at the chance to see Roger Waters back in 2011. I didn't think he'd ever tour the US again (wrong), and I was damn sure he'd never play The Wall front to back again (right) and didn't want to miss the chance to see the most important album of my life, the best album ever made, played in full by its co-creator. But was I anxious about missing it? Well, yeah, a little, as evidenced by the fact that I almost skipped an important conference in order to see it before being given the ok to expense the Denver tickets and take a trip to Phoenix to see it the next week. -

Me too. I have never seen anyone live because I always have so much going on, and I can never save up enough money to get decent seats nowadays. But I am not gonna worry about if I'll ever see Green Day live; I will eventually, and I am sure Billie won't lose his spark.
-
Yah, it's like $80 right? Insane for some cards that you probably store away and never look at again, unless you have a display case. That's a good idea ! Yah, they did in the beginning, but I am not sure how fast they sell out now. They restock, right? Or are they limited edition or something lol .
-
Yah I was just like "okay.... cool way to get a nickname I guess?"

Does anyone remember Bullet in a Bible?
The Grohl replied to miss_youngblood's topic in Green Day Chat
I haven't watched it in a while but man, what a time! I got the dvd/CD set for Xmas that year. After we opened gifts I rushed to my room to watch it. After that I would often pop in the DVD and just fast forward to my favorite parts (no man can eat 50 eggs, Billie sleeping, tre putting on eyeliner, vocal warm ups). BIAB is still one of my favorite live releases of all time. I'm a sucker for the documentary mashed with love footage take and this is what I want from live releases. It's kind of like Depeche Mode's 101 another fantastic live film.
