I think Mike said something once like "if we find something more fun to do we'll do that but until then..." So true, if you got to be onstage playing like that, why would you retire?

Thanks for replying, and in such detail, I really appreciate it. I think it would be hard to be welcoming and buddy buddy constantly, especially on a tour like that where you're living on top of people. Though I remember watching the behind the scenes thing at the time and thinking, I bet Green Day insisted on playing first just to show up Blink182 😆 -
As I’ve said in some other thread, I will be staying at the stage all day. Screw alcohol and food. I will be trying to be as close as possible. And I shall convince Green Day that they need a 4th live guitarist thank you very much.

Solution: update the lyrics to be more topical. It works for American Idiot, why not American Eulogy? "Because the martyr is a compulsive liar when he said it's just a bunch of Antifa throwing gas into the hysteria" In reality it'll never happen because adding it back into the setlist would just kick up dust and cause a controversy that they do not need. Still a pump-ass song though.

Your ideal Green Day show/playlist
Tre's Busted Drumkit replied to Saint Walshie's topic in Green Day Chat
Hitchin' a Ride is one of the "deep cuts" more likely to be played on any given night because it was a live staple for so, so long that people still know it. Are they even doing encores anymore? I thought it pretty much went straight from Bobby Sox into Good Riddance, with no pause for an encore. St. Jimmy works by itself. Not every song has to fit a narrative all the time. In live shows, it's a quick little "go fucking mental" number played for a crowd that's just waiting for excuses to go fucking mental. If it were ten minutes long, I'd get dropping it. Speaking of ten-minute-long songs... BLASPHEMY Mine typically happen because I'm listening to an album and go, "Oh, hey, you know what would sound really good and fit well right here?". It's not really an intentional thing, it just happens when I come across a little chain of songs that works well together. The title track from Warning? Nah. They should play Minority more often instead. But seriously, Waiting needs a lot more love than it gets, if we're talking about underplayed songs. Also, someone please bribe Billie Joe to put American Eulogy back in the set. He doesn't have to mention who's throwing gas into the hysteria. -

This makes so much sense! It really has Trilogy vibes. It also has one of my least favorite lines in any Green Day song ("I wanna hold you like a gun, we'll shoot the moon into the sun" ??? 😅). Definitely in my bottom two songs for RevRad. Not gonna lie though, I'd still would have loved to hear it live though. -
The website doesn't exist anymore. The merch package was sold in 2014. I don't think it ever sold out so there probably aren't many of the packages out there, but your best bet is to save a search on eBay.

No, just the same bonus track as the regular Japanese Saviors (Fever)

saviors world tour live album speculation thread
Dingle replied to Gonzalo17's topic in Green Day Chat
Absolutely. Having privilege of being at Milton Keynes, every time I watch BIAB, the memories come flooding back. But so frustrating and disappointing the the show is cut missing songs on both dvd and cd. I've never understood why. Releasing such shows and the ones suggested on here in full is so important. Both to get the full experience of the performance as the band intended, but also, for so so many fans that cannot attend a live show for one reason or another. I know many lovely people who are disabled or house bound, who love Green Day to bits, but will never be able to attend or experience a live show in person. I dvd live show complete and uncut would be really special for those who can't get there. -

It would be cool with a live concert, obviously, but I'm afraid such a release would be overly edited in post-production (tuned vocals etc). The Bobby Sox live video they released officially on their YouTube channel sounded terrible. It would ruin the whole experience if Wembly underwent the same procedure. -

As long as they release a FULL show. I mean I loved BIAB and AAF, but I didn‘t like they cut most of the shows. Would be great if we get a full show like wembley as a Blu Ray and 2 CDs with the full show for streaming/Audio and the 2nd with deep cuts they played during the last leg -

imo i feel like Wembley might included as a bonus DVD/Blu-ray within whatever live album their planning i wouldnt be surprised though if they do/already have finalized the warning box during this break though -
Mark writes that blink were supposed to close every show even though they were co-headliners, and writes in general about how difficult a tour of that size is to manage because of lawyers and managers etc. He mentions that the closing act was responsible for "going all out and take it all home" and that it was a agreed on that only blink were supposed to use pyro, but that GD decided right before the first show that they wanted to do pyro as well. The other example he uses is that GD refused to enter the stage before it was pitch dark outside, and also refused to cut their set, which made it difficult for blink to play before noise curfew, that Mark explained the problem to Billie, Billie said sorry and promised it wouldn't happen again, but did it anyway. 😅 Mark doesn't write it in a disrespectful way and he doesn't call them assholes or anything, he just states that GD was "out for blood" and that he sees it like GD didn't like to be reduced to an opening act.

According to Greenday.fm following the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival July 20, the band will take a month off before a final round of Saviors touring from August 24 to Sept 30. A well-earned rest and time with families. Or maybe time for the band to finalize live Wembley DVD release, plus Warning anniversary box set? Now that would be amazing.
