Revolution Radio was ALMOST one of their best albums
Cris. replied to Scumfuc Waste's topic in Green Day Chat
Yes, the rest of the song's lyrics are good. But that one I mentioned is so hard to ignores, and makes me cringe a bit every time it comes. But to each one their own, that's the beauty of it, there's something for every taste I see your 2010 American amphitheater 21CB, call it a rehearsal for what was to come, and raise you the 2010 South American tour, culminating in the 4 hour long, 43 songs extravaganza at Costa Rica that included Brat, One for the Razorbacks, One of My Lies, Only of You, I Was There, Paper Lanterns, Road to Acceptance, and Dominated Love Salve, among others. I was at both those shows.... those were so good š„¹ It's also when right in front of Mike became my favorite spot at Green Day shows, I wanted to be right in front of him when he sang his bit in American Eulogy -

21st Century Breakdown tour was peak at MSG they played Disappearing Boy Last Night on Earth just Billie and Jason Drama Queen which at that point wasnāt even released and played when I come around super early just because someone requested it. Also before the lobotomy, jaded, and other deep cuts 3 plus hours and 2 encore. Viva la Gloria and 21st Century Breakdown almost brought the arena down and American Eulougy got a huge reaction especially Mikes part. Those shows had so many random songs and peak Billie vocals. -

I was so shocked and delighted when Billie announced they will play HAUSHINKA, I yelled so loud!! Nimrod is my favorite album, and as a Chilean fan, waiting 7/8 years average to watch them live... IT BLEW MY MIND!! What an EPIC MOMENT!! Amazing to get this deep cut here in Chile!! And the band still sounds incredible!! Also, before Dilemma, Billie sang a little bit of One of my lies!! -

I'll see your Rev Rad tour and raise you the summer 2010 North American amphitheater 21CB tour. That setlist was off the hook. 3 hours of hits, deep cuts, really fucking deep cuts, and total random mayhem throughout. -

The are you stranded like Iām stranded the fuck you Iām from Oakland, are you broken like Iām broken, do you want to watch the earth fall to pieces, sheās the cedar in the trees of Minnesota are all pretty clever to me. I think Youngblood had a great reaction when played on tour and is the third best song on rev rad next to bang bang and still breathingā¦ordinary world is a perfect vocal performance by Billie and is a beautiful ballad up there with Macyās Day parade. And was awesome live. -
Are we sure they are using auto-tune and or pitch/correction? Unless you are an audiophile is it even noticeable? Itās not like blink or other bands that use backing instruments and backing vocals that make the mix sound like they are singing through a walkie talkie.

Oh no. I'm always begging for deep cuts and they pull THIS one? It's so frustrating being a Green Day fan. The Hives are the Kings of Rock Music Now so I think I'm going over to a Hives forum. Probably for the best. I was actually whining about this right before I jumped on here, lol: If they could do a little tiny medley of the albums they ignore, they just might have a perfect setlist to keep going into eternity with. At the Library / Oh love / Stray Heart / X-Kid / Father of All Medley - 36 seconds of each - the perfect 3 minute medley. -

I wanna hold you like a gun, we'll shoot the moon into the sun š Billie Joe is my favorite song writer of all times, by a long shot, but that line is so terrible. And the way the music emphasizes it, makes it impossible to not pay attention. It ruined the song for me. I also don't care for Ordinary World š¤·āāļø The rest of the album is great though. I love Say Goodbye, it's actually among the top songs in the album for me. Agreed that Somewhere Now/Forever Now is an amazing combo and opening and closer (all the more offensive Ordinary World becomes by just popping up after Forever Now š ). -

The Grouch, Redundant, and now Haushinka... someone remind me why I decided to stay home? š -
I donāt think weāre getting any official live product that isnāt at least pitch corrected these days. Itās just considered professionally standard. I also agree that it isnāt necessary and Iād prefer to hear the vocals without any processing but good luck getting the suits at Warner to agree to put something out (ie spend money) theyād consider āunpolishedā. Iād be curious to see what the last live cuts that we got without vocal tuning were. Bowling Parking? Tune In Tokyo? It doesnāt diminish my excitement. Having these is like a memento of the tour, a snapshot of a moment in time. A really amazing tour and era for the band deserves commemoration. Would I prefer to have my cake and eat it too? Of course. But Iād rather get live tracks with vocal tuning over them taking their ball and going home because theyāre playing purists. Theyāve always been willing to play ball to advance their careers betting that in the long term their music will stand the test of time.

Is quite funny. Before the show, somebody started to play drums like a soundcheck in front of all the crowd. Then I heard a known fill. It was Haushinka. And then it WAS PLAYED. Absolutely insane. I never thought that 86 in vienna would be tied so fast lmao -
It's clearly altered/tuned though... If you compare with a audience recording from the same gig, it's clear that some parts were corrected in the second verse for instance. It's for this reason I don't see the point with live audio-only releases such as this, and why someone would be excited about a full album. It's not the real deal anyway. I also think's its especially dissapointing that a band such as Green Day agree to this, considering their roots and what come from, so to speak. Since the visual side of the experience is entirely (quite literally) out of the picture, obviously the listener pays even more attention to how the performance sounds. It's less forgiving with audio only, in that sense. So I think most people wouldn't notice smaller mistakes our single words slightly out of tune in the same way, with both audio and video. Sadly I think a potential "Live at Wembley" Blu-Ray would be just as post-processed though, sadly... It's just where we're at.

It has two bangers: somewhere now/forever now (10/10) One skippeable song: ordinary world (i think It left and doesn't fit in the album). All other songs are very good, at least than 7/10. Dookie, american idiot, nimrod, kerplunk and Rev radio are my top 5 -
