I also like forums over Reddit. Obviously there are a lot of issues with Reddit but I can't stand about music subreddits are how you aren't allowed to have a critical opinion about something. I've seen far too many threads saying things like those who don't like xyz album give it another shot!! Or don't listen to the haters! It's fine if you like an album. It's also fine if others don't. That's what makes an interesting discussion. Reddit is too much of an echo chamber.

To each their own 🤷‍♀️ For me the ideal proposal would be while buying groceries, or while cleaning the house... something so boring and mundane you are happy for the distraction... In an unexpected turn of events (although it should have been expected, because the Green Day hardcore following is a tiny world in the end ) I actually know the girl in the proposal video. The two of us alongside a couple other people started Green Day Fan Venezuela, the Venezuelan fan page / group, around the time Green Day announced their concert in Venezuela in 2010. I just haven't seen her in like 14 years, and we didn't keep in touch anymore after a while, so I didn't recognize her immediately from the video. But she commented the Italian fan group sharing of the video, and I recognized her name, looked at her profile picture and saw it was her, and then watched the video again and it was obvious I'm happy for her! She is a really nice person

100%. In my country we just had elections a few months ago and the choice was between a guy similar to Trump and an ex-social activist for some good causes. The people who voted for Trump-wanna-be were hateful, uneducated, and wanted to take away our freedom and human rights, and sell us to Putin. I’m usually a pretty peaceful person, all about diplomacy, but I’d never extend an olive branch to them. God can forgive them, because I certainly can’t. There’s only so much you can do when it comes to disagreeing on politics. But you can’t be friends with those who want to take away your rights.

I’m with @Clockwise and as a European who loves the US, watching what’s happening there, I think now is not the time for the olive branch but to be loud and angry.
