Been a while since I did one of these. I've been listening to this mix lately: Stay the Night Holiday Boulevard of Broken Dreams Dilemma Before the Lobotomy Maria 2,000 Light Years Away Brain Stew / Jaded Basket Case She When I Come Around Minority American Idiot Know Your Enemy Are We the Waiting St. Jimmy 21 Guns Dominated Love Slave Last Night on Earth (Matt's acoustic mix from back in the day) When It's Time Good Riddance Wake Me Up When September Ends Strange Days Are Here to Stay Jesus of Suburbia Looks long. Actually clocks in right around 90 minutes. Perfect for both my attention span and the drive to three different hiking spots I hit up regularly. -

I hope it's true. Both my favourite bands (Green Day and Linkin Park) play here -
Green Day really need a song that starts with Z. There are some common words that begin with the letter. Zoo. Zippydoda. Zippo. Zealot. Zebra. Zigzag. Zany. Zin. Zeros. Zoom. If Green Day don't have a Z song drop by 2027, I'm going to be very angry with them. 😄

Really? I queued the second night with a Calling all Saviors VIP ticket, and the queue worked very well. Maybe the people you mentioned had the Welcome to Paradise tickets? They are the very first ones to be let in, no matter when they come.

Anyone wanna buy my original 1998 nimrod foam finger or promo warning floor sign ?

VIP and Ticket Prices Discussion

I had Golden Circle for the first Vienna seo and I was not happy with the queue system, I had been there all day and people who showed up just as the doors were opening got better places than me. That could be a cultural thing, we take queueing VERY seriously where I'm from. Except that when Green Day do play Ireland the venue management are TERRIBLE! They just open the gates and it's a free for all despite everyone having queued quite fairly for ages. -

I always have loads of anxiety before a show, and it's always worth it. Hope it goes/went well!

I think the majority of fans at a GD concert are mostly fans who know Westbound Sign and Haishkina and would love for album cuts. I don’t know if the band realizes that but when the play Brat, Stuart and the Ave, Scattered, Armatage Shanks, Worry Rock, parts of Redundant in the encore listen the fans sing along and go crazy same with Disappearing boy and one of my lies I just think they underestimate the fans love of their album tracks. Is just like to see them not just play the same stuff over and over on the 21st Century Breakdown tour they’d play album Cuts and at the time Drama Queen which was unreleased as well as Olivia and Minnesota Girl. I wish they’d understand how loved those songs are. Even Last Nigh On Earth gets a great response and that somehow wasn’t a single Murder City got good responses too. It’s wild how many deep cuts never have been played live. They should do their own era’s tour

I think casual fans, concert goers expect well-known Green Day songs, so they don't complain about the playlist. Many don't know songs like Westbound Sign or Wow That's Load. In that respect, as most of bands, they can't make a big change. But to be honest, I'd love to have them refresh the playlist and throw some deep cuts.

Billie posting that for the fans he met is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen. I feel like I fall in love with him all over again all the time because of stuff like this. He’s the best. Favorite human. -

Evidence? Look, Spider-Dead, if I had evidence, it wouldn't be an "I think" situation, now would it? (read it in John Cleese's voice) No, there's not a ton of musical evidence to support STN as a C&V-era song. Of course, if evidence were required to support theories, we wouldn't still be trying to convince Gen-X that the earth isn't flat. It's just a feeling I've had since the second-ish time I heard the song.

I don’t see the evidence for that. Stay the Night didn’t show up on that B-Sides cd from the American Idiot era. We get the first soundchecks of it in 2009 when we know a lot of the other trilogy material was being worked on. Musically, it’s quite similar to other ¡Uno! tracks.
-
If they could please come to Denver and play Stay the Night, I'd die. Thanks. Yes, I know it's kind of a Letterbomb rehash musically (not the last time they did that), but that and Let Yourself Go are a couple of the best straight-forward rock songs Green Day has pulled out to date. The guitar solo in Let Yourself Go sounds like something off of a modern-day Chuck Berry album and it's beautiful. FWIW, Stay the Night is one of those tracks that I think may have originally been meant for C&V and wound up revisited for Uno. Single best song of the Trilogy right there.
-
They played Scattered, very nice! I really hope they continue to throw in something random at every show. I know that people want the 1, 21 Hits setlist, but that one change every night goes a LONG way. Green Day want to be popular, so I understand they don't want to do Trilogy or Father of All tracks. Theres some massively successful deep cuts in their catalogue that would check all the boxes. People know it and and it's fast and fun - those are the qualifiers, lol. Here's the most streamed deep cuts if Billie needs help figuring out how to get the most bang bang for his buck buck: Going to Pasalqua, 2000 Light Years Away, Burnout, Armitage Shanks, The Grouch, Castaway, Whatshername, Last Night on Earth, Nuclear Family, Amy, Brutal Love, Ordinary World, Sugar Youth, Goodnight Adeline. Admittedly, some of those are slower and some are from the albums that people hate. Okay, replacements on the way: Homecoming. Viva La Gloria (girl), Lazy Bones, Missing You, Say Goodbye, 1981. I left the songs from hated albums because maybe one day, Billie will feel like doing them .
-
I really doubt they even blanked the tapes. I think we've heard a fair number of the songs off of C&V released by now, either hidden on other albums or as a B-side or non-album single. Or, you know, just played live. Like C&V. And looking back on that song, it was one of those "cool at the time" things, but not a particularly memorable one. If that's the tone-setter for all of C&V, then I'm ok with never hearing the whole thing. It'd be another Uno or something. Lots of promising tracks, but only a couple that actually deliver.

A small clip of Scattered got published on their account too !! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLe8xiWN_vF/?igsh=MWJudmluNGV5ZTQ2MQ==
