I don't really think of demos when thinking of the worst and Here Comes the Shock is definitely a contender for worst Green Day song. If we included EVERYTHING....., Studio Banter or Shit Show or....Tre Polka. Other contenders would be Little Boy Named Train Demo. Walking the Dog. Stab You in the Heart. That's bottom tier Green Day for sure. I love the Trilogy, but can definitely see some weak spots in it. Carpe Diem and Little Boy Named Train are half baked. And Dos? Even if it was a Tubbies album, it feels a little thrown together. Wild One, Make Out Party, Lady Cobra and Wow That's Loud need more work.

So… did anyone get tickets for this? 👀

It’s one of those unlicensed docs put together with photos and journalist interviews involving no one who knows them and no licensing for music or video. They’re usually pretty poor

A warm welcome to our community here in Green Day land. Everyone on here is amazing, feel so at home, it's more like a family really. I've learned so much on here about GD, everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly. So your in good company. As well as loving GD to bits, it's also sharing that love with other GD fans that's so special.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/video/detail/B0FSBZM6VM/ref=atv_dp_share_cu_r Just came across this new documentary released 2025 about Green Day, Haven't watched it yet. Has anyone seen it? The Green Day Phenomenon "Exploding from punk obscurity to global rock stardom, Green Day's journey is dissected in this music documentary packed with rare performances and sharp cultural commentary. Featuring raw footage from their legendary Woodstock '94 set, the film traces the band's rise through underground shows, major label deals, and global protests in power chords."

I like Haushinka but I hate Father to a Son and I'm not a fan of Here Comes the Shart either. At one of the recent shows someone asked me 'if you had to erase Jesus of Suburbia or Nightlife forever, which would it be?' And I actually hesitated Obviously, Jesus of Suburbia is objectively much better, but listening to it is like a full experience whereas Nightlife is just fun so I'm more likely to listen to it. I would keep Jesus of Suburbia but I'd be sad to erase Nightlife. However! If it was between Jesus of Suburbia and American Eulogy or Forever Now, I would chuck Jesus in the bin. We should have a 'which song would you erase?' thread.

personally, i dont get the hype behind LOTAG and LNOE

In @That Dude‘s defence (we have had this discussion for a while now) he’s not saying it’s bad, it’s his least favourite. Fair enough I think. I think it’s awesome but think Amy is just bad. We all have our opinions.😁

I know you've had a long standing dislike of "Haushinka" and I must respect that, but imho it's awesome.
-
haushinka as worst song over Father Of All Demoes or Here Comes the Shock is crazzzyyyyy
-
That's public perception. I love every note of every song they've ever done. Even their worst song "Haushinka" is pretty good. And as for their worst aspects as a band, maybe their album covers could use some work but yeah. They're the perfect band.

A Treasure Trove of Unseen Early GD Video is About to be Unleashed

Finally getting round to watching the longer of these videos and this is amazing! They sounded so good and were so confident, unbothered by all the stuff going on around them, great training obviously. Thanks for these. -

I can’t find it now to share, but how cute did Mike look in the Bob Gruen birthday clip!
-
Tut, tut @That Dude you can't use the word bad in association with GD being bad, it's just not allowed. As Mike famously said: "Listening to Green Day is like sex. When it's good, it's really good. When it's bad, it's still pretty dam good". 😜

I'm actually so fucking excited for this, Warning is my (current) favorite Green Day album.

I have a theory on the relationship between Jesus of Suburbia/ St. Jimmy and Whatsername. So as we know that Jesus of Suburbia is known as his alter personality St. Jimmy is in a relationship with Whatsername, so as we know that they break up with Whatsernames letter AKA Letterbomb. So in Homecoming St. Jimmy dies and goes back to Jesus of Suburbia. In the song Whatsername is Jesus thinking of Whatsername cause that's one of the only things he remembers from his time as St. Jimmy. I need y'all's opinion on this

The public perception of Green Day has swung back and forth. three good albums / one bad / one good / one bad / two good / three bad / one good / one bad / one good There hasn't been a run of three well received albums since the first three. Will they release something much-maligned like Trilogy or Father of All again after Saviors? Or can they keep the momentum going with the next two albums that keep the fans happy AND the creative juices flowing? If we only count the trilogy as one bad era it would be 3 good/1 bad/1 good / 1 bad / 2 good / 1 bad / 1 good / 1 bad / 1 good. Of course, most of us on here love all the eras.
