Es ging um ein Interview, in dem Billie nach Jakob, seinem Sohn, gefragt wurde und er besorgt gesagt hat, dass der einen Freund hat, der schnell fährt und er zu ihm gesagt hat, drive slow . Und es darum ging, dass sie riskante Sachen gemacht haben, wie auf dem Autodach fahren und das hätte viel passieren können. I'm just listening to the WTF Interview and it sounds like it wasn't the interview.

I think we have to be ready for a prolonged quiet period. They have been touring for 18 months after all the work around releasing Saviors, they deserve time off.

They are not resting yet. Tomorrow they start the South American leg of their world tour. So the (long?) time of rest and creativity will come afterwards. And their setlists in Europe this summer were the hits, unpredictable deep cuts 😂 minus anything from the trilogy. I liked it very much but would gladly have taken some trilogy songs too!

This place used to be so active and full of news. I am so glad it still exists. God bless the GDC. If Green Day is being less active creatively lately hopefully it is just to rest and get ready for something interesting. Have they been changing up the setlists at all or is it still the hits, the predicable “deep cuts” minus anything from the Trilogy. Sounds like their management has been busy saying yes to Garbage Pail kids and alerting people to awards nominations. That not an evolution of Green Day’s work. That’s just new merchandise and at least an award acknowledgment but Green Day didn’t invent anything new there. I miss No Fun Mondays and the side projects. I miss rumors and secret shows. I hope something exciting happens and the GDC threads pick up again.

I think they kinda like the 3-5 year album cycles. And to be honest, I definitely prefer a well crafted album (produced by Rob and mixed by CLA) with 13-15 songs than a rushed album with 10 songs.

Very random but I’m so glad to see this forum is still somehow active. I’m surprise forums on the internet still exist at all 😂 I remember being here when I was in highschool, in like, 2014? I think, and using so much google translate. I can’t for the life of me remember what username I had or what email address I used, but I distinctively remember the fangirl thread lol, I was surprised that was still active as well 😂 A lot of life has happened in 10 years, I finished highschool, a masters, had 3 jobs, changed countries, came back, left again, but this summer was very hard for me, with a lot of changes, and like any other time when life was hard, I turned to Green Day for comfort. Needless to say the old Green Day obsession came back and hit full force, more than usual, because I don’t think it ever left, it just got a little quieter 😂 And I said, why the hell not, let’s make an account here and interact with the fandom for a bit, until it quiets again. Glad to see so many people still around, some usernames I even recognize haha.

This must be devastating for Brazilian fans who can't afford to see them elsewhere. Really shitty of the organisers. Also, I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I'm really not impressed with the way Green Day's social media people handle cancellations outside of the US. An Instagram story? You can't even make a permanent post like you did for Hershey? I'm not saying Green Day themselves need to comment (although it would be nice and wouldn't take much effort), but the management are literally paid to make social media posts. It wouldn't be difficult to try a bit harder. Switch the comments off if you're worried about angry fans. Sadly it's obvious that they think it doesn't matter as much as a high-profile show like the Hershey one.

When I first read this new from one of the fan accounts on Instagram I literally thought they had just fallen for a rumor/fake news in really bad taste. From the announcement it says that the draw to select the location for the football match was held last week. But still it makes zero sense to me that an event that has been planned for many months, for which thousands of tickets has already been sold, has to be cancelled because you did a last minute draw to decide the place of match for next month. For fuck's sake, move the date of your match by a couple of days, move the location, don't do a random draw where one of the options is a place that is already taken... I don't know, it feels like a problem that could have been at best avoided, and at worst at least solved. I'm sorry for anyone who had tickets. I know I would be super pissed (I mean, I'm pissed anyhow 😅).
