do we know the scheduled start time for greenday? i searched the internet but i can literally find nothing at all besides doors being opened at 5:30pm 😅 i guess it will be different, because until now they only played festival shows or indoor shows (vienna), the show in luxembourg will be their first standalone open-air show at this tour -
ya i dont need any of those deluxe songs at their upcoming shows i could name dozens of other (deep cut) songs which would fit better i didnt see the complete current setlist, i guess they only play the "singles" of saviors? coma city, goodnight adeline or suzie chapstick would be a welcome surprise too 🙂 i guess king for a day got dropped for the current tour? not having those 6+ minutes setlist junks like JOS would be a nice change too, nothing against seeing JOS live, but it gets played almost every time, they could drop JOS and do a deep cut set of other songs instead
-
I would prefer to listen to Under dog instead of Hitchin a Ride or Brain Stew I've already listened to them enough live ahahaha
-
how about this 2 Deepcuts, and then a rotation between Belushi, Underdog, Stay Young, Ballyhoo and Fuck Off instead of Brain Stew/Jimmy or whatever

Yes! It's the first time I see an organizer actually take into account fans' feedback or try to support the fan-organized queue numbering system. Really 10/10 for the two Vienna shows. The merch is okay. I'm still pissed that they sell so many VIP tickets that the only way to get first row is with a VIP ticket though 🙄 Great for me since I can afford it and still queue. Not fair to the fans who cannot afford it though.

I have nothing against Fuck Off, would love to see it live. But not at the expense of it permanently occupying one of the two "random" deep cut slots, reducing it to only one song changing from night to night. I want my two surprise songs for the upcoming shows! It that means dropping Fuck Off, then so be it. 😅

Looks like the shuttlebuses might not be the best way to go based on the updates from the festival. Why am I not suprised. 😅

Not as far as I know. He did say it was something he doesn't usually do. Maybe he tried to change it up since we were standing in the rain all day? Tbh, I thought he was kidding with the hand gesture he made at the end. I thought it meant done/close it down. But inbetween my contacts moving around and the damn rainponcho after god knows how many hours who knows. 😂 I'm sorry you had a drunk guy next to you.🩷 I saw the guards carrying out a man because he was so drunk. Don't understand why people like that bother going to shows. -
I reckon that'd be a great song to play live 😅
-
Yeah, that’s what I mean. They played different songs first but then kept Fuck off since Southside
-
They didn’t play it in Vienna at all. The „Fucking off“ began in Germany…😂 And I hope they will change it again!
-
Id on't think they played it in Vienna the first night, they did play 86 though
-
The ass slaps. 💓 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLUYaZUtc2n/?igsh=eW4wcDNkejE4NnQ5
-
Do you guys think they’ll keep playing F*** Off for the rest of the tour since it has stayed on the setlist since Southside? It’s a fun track for a live show, but I also liked how they switched things up and played a different deep cuts every night.

Glad I ended up bringing my rain coat, even though it got a bit humid and gross after a while. 😅 The crowd was very active and that was really fun, but I was a bit surprised by how crowdy it was; I was maybe 15 rows or so from the stage if not more but it was still hardly any room to move. Met some lovely people but also had a guy standing next to me who was so drunk (honestly can't believe he was able to stand on his legs) who made the waiting in between the last sets quite unpleasant. LOVED that they played Brat. I've been listening to it a lot lately so it was such a pleasant surprise. It's such a fun song and they should play it more often!! One thing I didn't like was when Billie encouraged the crowd to film during Good Riddance. Didn't see that many phones (compared to other shows I've attended) during the rest of the set and when so many actually did as he said it ruined the ending a bit for me. Has he done so at other shows as well? Hope it was a one time thing. -

Manifesting that they'll play it at a show you're going to. 🩷 Insomniac is my favorite album so I'm all for more tracks and love for the album. 86 was really fun too! I agree. Fuck off was the only song I didn't know from their set 🤭 and it isn't something special so hope they keep changing it up for us. 🙌 Thank you! 🩷 It looks like the weather will be better for tomorrow (it's pretty decent today 😁). I haven't been to Tons before but I can imagine it being a little chaotic with the shuttlebuses. I'm in no rush so as long as I get there it will be fine. 😂 -

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit jealous that I wasn't there for Brat, I love that song. But I'm with you on the love for Insomniac being played beyond Brain Stew and Jaded. I've said so many times that I wished for them to show some love to that album this year, with it being its 30th anniversary. I feel they are low key doing that, without making a big fuss about it I hope they keep two songs rotating though, rather than Fuck Off staying in the setlist as a replacement for one of the rotating songs. Also, hope you're feeling better for Tons ! -

🩷🩷 Yes, it's weird. Last year I went to see BMTH. Some of their crew members sat in the Premium area to eat and watch other bands. It didn't look like anyone was bothering them though which was good. It was probably a better view of the stage for them and obviously their choice to sit there but it's definitely different compared with other festivals. Thank you. 🩷 I got a small cold after Vienna and it's sticking. 🤭 I'm going to be in the VIP area at Tons so I think it will be good. The weather seems to be better and it's pretty easy for me to get back home afterwards. Hope the band is doing okay after playing two festivals in a row in the rain. 🤞🩷 -

Thank you for your account of the show. This setup of ticket areas sounds...interesting! Let's hope you all didn't catch a cold, the band included! And have fun at your home festival! -

There shouldn't be outside shows in Scandinavia. 😂 The rain and the wind.. Even with a rainponcho parts of my clothes got wet and they still are. Luckely it's a short flight to Oslo. This was definitely one of the coldest shows for me. I went to this festival last year as well and the layout is weird. There's GA and premium tickets and parts of the premium area is very close to the bands' area of the festival. I thought there was a line for the bathroom several times but after a while I realized that there were fans who was trying to see the bands and at least one lady tried to cross over to the band's area. Security got her but I don't get what their thought process was here. There was an opening between GA and premium where Security went back and forth - and crew members and family members went walking by too. They didn't watch the show from sidestage but from these tents close to where the cameras for the stage was. Right before they went on Adrienne walked by us and a couple of songs into their set Sara walked by as well. They played Brat 😁 Love when Insomniac songs get's played and it's not just Brain Stew/Jaded. They also played Fuck off other than that the setlist was like the other shows. When making the introduction for the band Billie Joe also included himself and said "I'm Billie". He kept saying "tack" which means thank you. It's very similar in Norwegian and Danish too, so I'm guessing he'll keep saying the same for those shows too. The part of Hitchin' a ride where they usually stop for a longer time to get the crowd pumped up - it wasn't skipped but it felt rushed compared to the other shows. Don't think anyone who was there as a casual listener noticed. No stagedive for KYE because of the rain and how slippery the stage was. Before Bobby Sox, Billie Joe thanked us for waiting in the rain. He said it right before he started the song and mixed up the first and second verse. He laughed and said "I messed up" and started the song over again. I'm hopefull for a better weather at Tons. 🤧 -
