With other bands I follow it's mostly X, Instagram and Tiktok. Personally I can't be bothered with Tiktok or X. Parts of one fanbase I'm in, is active on Tumblr which I think is a little funny since so many of them are teens/in their early 20s. I used Tumblr as much as MySpace when I was a teen. đ

Funny, some days ago I asked my Swiftie daughter about forums. And the answer was, forums arenât a thing at all. Everything important happens on TikTok and Instagram. Times change, obviouslyâŠ
-
I think it's more the general state of the internet though... most people who were really active in the golden years of the forums are now parents with young kids, and/or busy work schedules, so they cannot spend as much time and energy on the forums, or on the band in general. And newer generations are more into social media (TikTok Instagram, etc.), which was not as huge a phenomena back then, so they are not coming to the forums (and that makes me a bit sad because Green Day forums where such a nice place for me when I was a teen, so I feel they're missing out on something). But like I wonder if Taylor Swift forums (to name a really huge artist in terms of number of fans/listeners) today have as much traffic as the GDC or Idiot Club used to have in their golden years?

honestly it probably will be longer besides, 4 extra songs is more of a chance to get deepcuts -
Ever since becoming a GD fan first thing I used to do in the morning was check GDC/GDA (and again multiple times a day). For years I tried to help keep the site going updating the picture threads but right now I'm taking a complete break (more or less) from the internet plus it's been so quiet on here for a few years now. Some days I don't even check in at all anymore or on Instagram or my Tumblr

I just hope the set was something similar to the Asia sets, over 25 songs and not 21 like last Europe leg đ -

Hoping they play Dookie and AI in full tonight! (but they probably won't) -
Absolutely. Very deserved break. đ©· Makes me happy to see how much it looks like they have enjoyed touring. âșïž

A little over a year and a half since Saviors came out, so when could we start hearing any rumors or hints about album 15?
That Dude replied to GDFan2019's topic in Green Day Chat
MUHUHUHAHAHAHA. It begins....well, the speculation about the speculation begins. Copilot first suggested that Green Day could put something out in the Winter of 2026, but I noticed that a short wait time like that includes the short gaps between Uno, Dos and Tre. Get rid of that and we're looking at 2027, sometime between April and June. But since the guys are getting older and they've said that they could use a little downtime after the Saviors stuff, I'm thinking late 2027 or early 2028. 2026 or 2027 could a good time for a side project or Mike Dirnt's Country Rap album or something. What will late 20s Green Day sound like? The end of a decade. We're headed into the 30s. WILD! Here's a throwback I just found from the Songs For Aholes Era: (fake tracklist, not mine) not my hero citizen reject solid state age of america chemical imbalance Faster Harder* The Queen Is Dead Waving the Red Flag -
Insane Clown Posse have a new album album, who care what Green Day are up to.

Thanks a lot folks. I found it. It was the Dax Shephard interview. You can hear that part at 29:34

Thanks. Which year was it?

Try Dax Shephard

I'm just listening to the WTF Interview and it sounds like it wasn't the interview.

I think we have to be ready for a prolonged quiet period. They have been touring for 18 months after all the work around releasing Saviors, they deserve time off.
-
They are not resting yet. Tomorrow they start the South American leg of their world tour. So the (long?) time of rest and creativity will come afterwards. And their setlists in Europe this summer were the hits, unpredictable deep cuts đ minus anything from the trilogy. I liked it very much but would gladly have taken some trilogy songs too!
-
This place used to be so active and full of news. I am so glad it still exists. God bless the GDC. If Green Day is being less active creatively lately hopefully it is just to rest and get ready for something interesting. Have they been changing up the setlists at all or is it still the hits, the predicable âdeep cutsâ minus anything from the Trilogy. Sounds like their management has been busy saying yes to Garbage Pail kids and alerting people to awards nominations. That not an evolution of Green Dayâs work. Thatâs just new merchandise and at least an award acknowledgment but Green Day didnât invent anything new there. I miss No Fun Mondays and the side projects. I miss rumors and secret shows. I hope something exciting happens and the GDC threads pick up again.
