For those in UK or have access, there's a TV programme on Sky Arts at 2am Monday 22nd, that may be if interest, hopefully. "Live from Abbey Road studios, Season 1, episode 4, the very best of, with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day and Muse." It's 60 minutes long. Says it's new, but that could mean to this channel. I can't recall it, so even if it's old, hope its good. Freeview channel, 36; Sky 124/125; Virgin 123; Freesat 143. Additional series info states: "Top musicians record a session in a studio environment, interspersed with intimate interviews without an audience. Performances range from classic tracks to innovative covers."

thanks! i am definitely proud of it i think it took me around 30 minutes to do that, but it was still difficult to get it as accurate as possible i wont trash my other one... trashing your art as a growing artist no matter how bad it is isn't the greatest mindset, so i think i'll keep it around and wait for next year to be able do it again.
-
Wow, that's as good as the one that came with Dookie 30th. I can imagine how difficult that was as you said. I'm sure your proud of it. I understand about hating the other one. An artist strives for perfection. It it's not right, the only option is to trash it and start again. You will succeed.

Thanks again. I have to say I was well impressed the way you took the phone off the hook. The action, the look, real punk attitude. lol. Billie Joe would be proud. š¤Ŗ

Oh Iād love to see your sunrise photos. From what Iāve seen until now the scenery around Christie Road seems magical⦠I can imagine how it inspired this beautiful song.
-
I was there (running away from the train š) but I wasn't involved in creating the video. I do have loads of photos of the sunrise at Christie Road that I haven't posted yet though. There's also the Tre Edition of the landmarks tour which takes you up to Mendocino and I did that on my last trip. I'll write an article about it eventually! You're very welcome! I hope you can do it one day. Glad to hear it! There's also this post that I wrote about my own experience of doing the tour if you're interested. https://atlasandacamera.com/2025/07/20/welcome-to-paradise/

I like it, it looks great!š

does this count? i made this art class yesterday. i made a pin of billie joe in his cup noodle costume as well, but it turns out i forgot 2 lines and now i hate it. anyways, i wasn't sure to put it in the fan art thread or this one, since i drew it myself. i could've done better, but it's pretty hard to draw on a 2.5cm circle.

Speaking of GD landmarks @solongfromthestars: were you a part of this? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSYXZmYCLMj/?igsh=MWhscTcyazh5a2E2cQ== It is so well made, and I thought I recognized some names in the commentsā¦
-
@solongfromthestars this is amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I could kiss you. If we can't visit Green Day land in person just yet, what you have made and shared is the next best thing. I'm overwhelmed, sorry, I'm all emotional. I will read and study this article very carefully, you've made me so happy.
-
I'd usually encourage any Green Day fan with the means to do the 'pilgrimage' to do it. It's an incredible experience. Of course I have an article for that, too https://atlasandacamera.com/2025/01/29/green-day-landmarks/ But yeah, but the vibes aren't amazing right now, even in California. It'll be a better experience when things change.
-
Yes!!! Iād love to see all those GD landmarks, too. But California is so far away. And I hate flying.š And the current US politics arenāt inviting either. But maybe sometimes in the futureā¦

@solongfromthestars thank you so much, again. I've been on link to GDA. Those photos are amazing, got a real sense of what it's like being inside Gilman Street. You've inspired me even more to visit the bay area, where the GD story began. And places the band talk about in their songs, Christie Road for example. Thanks again, your a star.
-
Awesome! The article and those photos are really impressive!š
