Maybe they are going to form a Skiffle Band and play a guitar made from cardboard and rubber bands fronted by Tre Cool and his endlessly rib-splitting Punk Patheque (real comedy punk music genre look it up) songs....and will be preforming Dominated Love Slave and All By Myself and all of his international Punk Patheque Superhits. If promotors there can afford Em's million dollar charge they can for sure afford Green Day... I am not blaming anyone - I couldn't care less - I am seeing GD 3 times next year & am pretty dam excited about that. Em's 2 days before soundwave & I am not going. Judges daughter 93 Posted December 1, 2013 Share Posted December 1, 2013 After one day of thinking about this little 'interview' and Billie's short statement about 'a little break' I've come to conclusion that we really make a mountain out of a molehill. Maybe they have to rethink some things, do nothing for some time, take time off from seeing themselves every f**king day, and then - with clear minds - start working on a new record If they were even considering breaking up they certainly wouldn't annouce this that way - in a radio interview - but in a statement on their official website or....well, just in a different way. And - as many people before have already said - bands take breaks before new albums, that's a rule. We are afraid that Green Day'll break up - I am afraid as hell. But it won't happen soon - or, actually never. I will patiently wait for a new record, maybe anniversary tour - I have a suspicion they'll do one in 2014...so - no breaking up, just a little break from to work to get ready to get back to work Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mean maybe it's time for stuff like Foxboro Hot Tubs or maybe -Not Green Day's- The Network or maybe just plain other projects! No needs to worry maybe actually more needs to be excited for what ever kind of epic stuff they come up with. And maybe their 'come-back' will be epic Dookie/American Idiot all over again. The last tour wasn't a long one and the band didn't visit all the places they usually go. At the same time, I'm not surprised. Knowing that Billie Joe has other projects to work on (AI movie, music for a theater show, the new album with Norah Jones, ...), it's normal that he put the breaks somewhere.
