Fuzz Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Oh god I love this poster. Like, love love. I'm really excited to start taking orders for this, inspired by Like A Rat Does Cheese, and designed for us by Kelsey (sparkinthenight). It's 11x17in, printed on thick 100lb matte paper, and only $5.99.GO PRE-ORDER NOW! It's available worldwide. US shipping is only $3, International is $7.99 (international postage is a bitch ). The actual shipping cost for international is $9.45, but GDA is going to subsidize the cost a tiny bit so it's not so much for you guys. All money raised from these merch sales go directly back into helping pay for the servers and other costs to keep GDA and GDC online. I expect the posters to be shipped out to those who pre-order by July 26th, hopefully sooner, depending how many orders we get.
HolyHandGrenade Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 It's such an unassuming poster, unless you know the song
Jon Herroon Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 It's times like this I wish I had a credit card. Also, when will the new GDA stickers be chosen and announced?
Todd Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Meh, it's not worth it for me. Maybe if it was a poster of Tre with his hands on his hips and his dick sticking out completely hard, with the caption 'suck my dick'. The poster's kinda boring imo
Fuzz Posted July 1, 2013 Author Posted July 1, 2013 It's such an unassuming poster, unless you know the song Indeed. The original design said "nibble on my dick like a rat does cheese", but we decided against it. I actually really love the idea that this totally innocuous poster is actually very dirty, secretly.
Florence Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I'm gonna order it once I have money on my Paypal again btw. I love the tiny rat and cheese in the announcement header d'awww
Fuzz Posted July 1, 2013 Author Posted July 1, 2013 Tre Cool's Song? You're welcome. http://www.greendayauthority.com/music/song/259/
yuridookie Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 You're welcome.http://www.greendayauthority.com/music/song/259/I know, i love this song
theviridiansea Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I first listened to this song when I was 12 and it literally took away the last of my innocence.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Haha, I love it! Also love how it's an inconspicuous (albeit a bit strange) poster if you don't know the story behind it.
The Forgotten Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Holy shit, it's a fucking awesome poster. But if I got it, my parents would wonder what the hell it means...... and I don't wanna go there
monkeyman Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Holy shit, it's a fucking awesome poster. But if I got it, my parents would wonder what the hell it means...... and I don't wanna go there "rats like cheese, I like cheese, simple!"
The Forgotten Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 "rats like cheese, I like cheese, simple!" that. could work.
gdpony Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Some day I'll have a credit card and the ability to purchase all of your cool merch
spark in the night Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Andres, do you still need me to fix the R?
Fuzz Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 Andres, do you still need me to fix the R? Yeah if you can come up with something. I haven't submitted it for printing yet. Would like to do so later this week (hopefully).
Ritz Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 The poster looks awesome and the design is so innovative!
amdr182 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 It's awesome because only Green Day fans understand the poster. A random person who doesn't know the song can't understand that there's a dirty song in the origin of the poster. It's like, somebody comes to your room and asks "What does it mean?" and you say "Isn't it obvious? It is a rat doing cheese!". But if that person is a Green Day fan, the person will say "You have a poster for Tré Cool's f**king dirty song! That's rad!".
