Red Lights Flash Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Was x-kid ever released as a single in europe? I don't think we got anything new since stray heart. Sucks, X-Kid is such a phenomenal song..
whatshername0303 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Great question! I think it might be 99 revolutions because it's the name of the tour and people talk about it with the live video on Agit8 website. But it might be another one too... like Brutal Love or X-Kid.
Mr. Shluffy Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Definitely Missing You. I still don't understand the appeal of 99 Revolutions. It's a fine, catchy tune, but it hasn't resonated with me musically or lyrically in a meaningful way.
MaraGreenDay Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Missing you or Brutal Love. I'm in love with those songs
The Platypus! Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Personally I would like to see another 4 singles. 99 Revolutions, Missing You, Brutal Love and Dirty Rotten Bastards but I highly doubt there will be 3:(
No Rhyme Or Reason Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I'm not sure which song I would want as the next single..... but I really hope it's not 99 Revolutions. I really don't like that song at all, and I think it's the worst of the trilogy. Plus, I feel like releasing it as a single would just make people think that all of Green Day's songs are too political or something - not that it's true, but it's the most like their last two albums in that regard, and I think it's better to show other sides of Green Day. 99 Revolutions seems like Green Day on autopilot. I would rather hear something a little more unexpected and actually impressive. Brutal Love and Dirty Rotten Bastards are my two favorites on the album, though I'm not sure how radio friendly they are, unfortunately.
Iain Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Out of the choices, 99 Revolutions. Good song and it pretty much is the most "Green Day" of all the trilogy. Catchy number, political, and upbeat at the same time. As well as that it's also the name of the tour, so I think this would be be the most likely to happen.
Florence Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I wish X-Kid got a proper single release I heard some Italian radio stations play it. Missing You or 99 Revolutions would be good choices.
The Grohl Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I would say Brutal Love or Missing You for sure. I can see older people who listened to old school R&B getting into Brutal Love. My mom grew up with that kind of music and she loved it
GenesisJames Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 "Walk Away". It's one of my favorites from the Trilogy, and it's radio-friendly, so there's a decent chance it'll get time on the air.
fromdecimateddreams Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I would love to see Missing You or X-Kid as a single, but I feel like 99 Revolutions would do the best and probably what they will end up doing if they release a single from the album.
JIGD13 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Wait, a new single release or a possibility of a release?
musso_kn Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 8th Ave Serenade. It's one of the best songs across the trilogy.
Cath Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 i was about to say X-Kid when i realized it was already a single. but seriously i'd say 99 Revolutions because it's the opening song, the name of the tour, it's catchy as hell and that's the kind of song that pass on radio.
HolyHandGrenade Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I know we all want the trilogy to be accurately represented, but 99 Revs poses the best chance they have to get back on the radio. When it comes to singles, it has to be business as usual, and that's simply the best choice.
Tubbie Head Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I don't care if it's long I want them to play Dirty Rotten Bastards live so, that's my choice I'd be happy with any of those on the poll. I really love them all and they have the potential to be really awesome singles, but my guess would be Missing You, since they're playing it live and all

I really love them all and they have the potential to be really awesome singles, but my guess would be Missing You, since they're playing it live and all actually it isn't as long as JoS. and in the radio version they cut some parts so it would fit really well!
Tubbie Head Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 actually it isn't as long as JoS. and in the radio version they cut some parts so it would fit really well! Yeah I know, I think it would be PERFECT!
Guest Trotsky Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Dirty Rotten Bastards because is a masterpiece.99 Revolutions seems more likely, though.
jordanguitar10 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Fuck Walk Away! Its a terrible song! Annoyingly repetitive chorus with lyrics that sound like something they'd sing to elementary school kids about not getting into fights.
