Why wouldn't I want to attract listeners? Don't all musicians? And who ever claimed they're anything than "just" covers? I sure didn't. I do however try to make them sound "dookish" to the best of my ability and have fun with it, but if that isn't good enough for you then I'm sorry, you don't have to listen I guess. Ultimately he's just having fun doing something he loves, so I don't see the problem with giving the type of cover he's doing a name. It's not hurting anyone. Meanwhile, I recorded this cover of When I Come Around with a kid that started playing drums not too long ago. He's still struggling with his timing a bit but I think he's brilliant concidering he hasn't been playing so long. I did the rest, guitars, bass and vocals (in one take). Sounds pretty raw but I kinda like that. Whenever I mess around punking up songs like When It's Time or Freebird, I always leave those progressions in, they sound good. There was just something about Drama Queen that wasn't quite right.
