At the end of 2011 we asked you guys for your questions for Lookout! Records founder Larry Livermore. The interview has been broken up into parts, and you can hear the first one today

Part 1: http://www.greendayauthority.com/news/3013/

Tony and Larry talk mostly about his upcoming book Spy Rock Memories, the beginning of Lookout! and Larry asks the difference between GDA and GDC.

Cool! I'll have to listen to it later.

Listening right now and loving it! You done good, Tony. Although, being an elitist GDC member, I say that with the utmost pretension.

I can't believe i accidentally said "Yeah" when Larry asked if it was elitist!!! :pinch:

I got rather nervous at the start of it. Really pleased with the whole thing, lots of good stuff to come!

Great interview! Really injoyed it! Can't wait for part 2!

This is beyond cool. Larry is just as fascinating a person on tape as he is in writing. Can't wait to hear more!

Ooh recorded? Brilliant! Can't wait to listen when I get the chance! Also I wish I'd thought of a question to ask now :P

Is it just me or did Larry have a slight British accent in the beginning that slowly faded away? I think that's just kind of the way he talks though.

I loved the honest discussion about pets.

Hah, i heard the accent too. Either Larry had an accent for a tiny bit or Tony's was strong enough for us to hear one for both.

I only got to hear a couple minutes while working on uploading it. I'll check out the full thing as soon as I can.

I heard a blend of British, northern Great Lakes, and :pinch: Noo Yawwk in there. I was looking for some flavor of Bay area "groovy, man" too but was disappointed not to find any.

Haha, I heard the British accent at the beginning too! This was interesting. But maybe a little too much about the animals  Looking forward to the next parts!

Sometimes, just sometimes, Larry sounds a bit like Angus Young. Which I'm totally okay with. Great interview :)

Totally! When it started I was like WTF!

There is no such thing as a "British" accent.

:P (Britain = Scotland, Northern Ireland, England & Wales.)

Maybe British accents are the creation of Americans attempting to sound like any combination of those 4 regions---thus they exist as pathetic imitations? It's a catch22 you see---we can't fail at imitating an accent that doesn't really exist

That was a really great interview, Tony - congrats! Larry's a good storyteller - he makes listening really interesting. Looking forward to the next part. :)

WHat an awesome thing to do and record! Thanks Tony, you were doing an amazing job. And Larry is really really interesting to listen to.

I finally got a chance to listen to this. Its a very interesting interview, Larry really does explain himself very well, I can't wait to hear the rest of it.

Great stuff, I'm really looking forward to more of this. LL seems to be such a genuinely nice guy, it's just a pleasure to listen to him.

And I don't think that the pet talk was too long since his opinions about pets and animal in general reveal a lot about him.

So yeah, I greatly enjoyed this so far, patiently waiting for more. Keep up the good work, Tony!

Will the next part be up soon? :)

I'm such an idiot that I've only just remembered to listen to this. Really interesting interview! I wanted it to carry on when it ended abruptly, hope you'll put the rest up soon.

I think English accent would usually be more accurate, there's obviously different English accents but when Americans say British accent it's usually an English one rather than a Scottish or Welsh or Northern Irish one.
