djrossstar Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Jim Lindberg, formerly of Pennywise & current singer of The Black Pacific, was the studio guest today on my webTV show. A caller named Chad asked Jim his opinion on Green Day's latest music & Jim told the viewers a story about the time Green Day performed with Pennywise at Club Lingerie (way back in the day). He also mentioned his friend Dia, the girl on the cover of 39/Smooth, and how that whole situation came to be. You can watch the show here & the part about GD is around the 45 minute mark! Lu_S Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 That's pretty cool! Is there a possibility of some very nice person and lovely to write the story that Jim tells. I'm not very good to understand English. Please.
theviridiansea Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Sweet! I love Pennywise. That would have been a wicked show. Too bad he's left the band now though. And I've always wondered who that girl was. Thanks for posting.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Can someone transcript what the dude says? The player/stream or whatever is supposed to play the show won't load for me edit: nvm it just took a good 5 minutes of refreshing and waiting to appear Cool, thanks for posting! I kind of missed the part on 'how it came to be', all he says is that she was a friend of theirs, but whatever.
Hermione Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Ha! I'd wondered about that cover, we've heard lots about most of the others but that one was a mystery. Really cool to know In other news my 2 year old nephew saw my 39/Smooth CD a couple of weeks ago and said "Green Day" even though he'd never seen it before. He recognized the lettering. He's a genius!
