Dude's a huge fan of punk and metal and has even covered Bulls On Parade and I Against I before. I saw that video (Curry doing Bulls on Parade) and it was amazing!!! 9 minutes ago, HAPPY ROOTING UNICORN said: True! Just listened to the whole thing, I love it, this one is really really good. Lacky Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 The less catchy, in my opinion. I hope to find more powerful rock in the other 7 tracks
dannygreen Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Heard it! only the chorus but finally something that sounds fresh. Looking forward to hearing the whole

MillenniumFan Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Sounds like a heavily glam-ified or processed Beatles song. I think the KYE comparisons are unwarranted though. People have been hating on this song for years (mostly because of it's repetitiveness) and I totally get that. But you have to admit, like that song or not, KYE is a rock song at the end of day and actually sounds quite heavy. While songs on this album may be fun, catchy or energetic, it seems a lot are gonna be at best glam-ified rock'n'roll, at worst guitar driven pop, but not rock... Spoiler This is just my opinion, I fully realise that some on here will appreciate Green Day taking a more pop direction and that's entirely fine. I'd prefer they didn't. Also just to clarify, I like the Beatles lol EDIT: just listened to the whole thing, only the chorus and drum-pattern there reminds me of the Beatles. The verse sounds a bit like The Struts, also very glam.
Little Boy Named Submarine Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Its kinda, boring. i dont know, the track is only 2:51 but they managed to make it very repetitive. Maybe it'll grow on me after a couple listens
Verycool99 Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 I like this, very chill song. Wouldn’t exactly consider it single material
alienlifeform Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 and they said they're going to give rock and roll its balls back... mas, waht a pop shitty song. If they have done it green day style it won't be that bad, though

dannygreen Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Listening to the whole right now. It's not bad at all. Billie's voice is finally fully recognizable and comfortable. It's very different but I like it, it's relatable and noticing some kind of evolution. Maybe a bit slow and repetitive but I'm surprisingly digging it.
MillenniumFan Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Hate that processed drum sound, but again that probably won't be an issue live...

Redundantuserjinxboy Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 After 2 listens...not bad. Chill. I dig it. Kinda lacks an edge though to be honest; but its alright. The Joan Jett part is really catchy.
