All Things BOOKMOBILE!

Hello, All!

I need your expertise. I am looking for any and all things Bookmobile related primarily from 1993-1995. This would include photos, stories, magazine or newspaper clippings, copies of flyers, video... I have several photos but looking to properly credit original sources.

I have started a Facebook page here: https://m.facebook.com/gdbookmobile/?tsid=0.09626394206160038&source=result

My goal is to put all of this fascinating information, from inception in 1983-1990 as the Chandler, Arizona Library Bookmobile, until now post West Coast Customs restoration, into a book. I would appreciate your assistance with this project! Many thanks!

Regarding videos, MTV did an interview with the band on their bookmobile back in 1994

Even in 1993, interview with the band in the bookmobile.

Also, there's a ton of information on the bookmobile in that video that West Coast Customs did for the restoration as well !

1993/09/19 James Brandon: "I was in the parking lot with them during that! I interviewed Green Day for a zine that never happened. We took them to a porn shop and Tre bought a penis water gun and was shooting people driving in their cars. That was when his dad was their driver and he was a part of the interview too."

1994/03/05 Greg Beets: "I interviewed Billie Joe sitting on the curb next to the Bookmobile at that Liberty Lunch show in '94."

1994/03/08 modskin: "Green Day/Tilt, 1994, Pensacola, FL: "My first ever show. There were about 25 people there. My friend left her jacket there and we had to go back and get it. We ended up sitting in Green Day's bookmobile tour bus for like an hour.

1994/03/15 dcmike112: "This is awesome, I was at this show. Tilt was the opening band. They were touring in the Bookmobile. One of the most memorable shows ever."

1994/03/16 Billie Joe Armstrong: "Watching it that night in our hotel in NY, I was like, 'Whoa, man, my teeth are, like, so bad.'" (This is significant I guess due to the fact they stayed in a hotel that night and not the bookmobile!)

Thank you!! Are these quotes under the individual shows or where did you find them? This is the sort of thing I am hoping to find :)

These quotes are all related to the shows from the dates listed. These all came from the GDA tour section that @Ham Pascale has been doing an excellent job curating :)
