Oh according to Tanya (on her greendayminds' blog) the dress Billie wore during Pinhead Gunpowder was Jason White's wife's dress. I find that hilarious! And btw, we need photographic evidence of Cross-dressing!Alex. Just saying. Screw hypocritical about the Thanksgiving Day Parade. When it comes to the musical, whatever gets butts in seats without bringing in an American Idol contestant! Oh and the Rock Band at Walmart is censored, remember? So ohhh! Stay at Target, Green Day! You guys should learn the NY DJ's name. Rich Russo and he's a pretty decent guy after awhile. I really like his show but he only posts the playlist on his blog the day after and nothing else. I love the Catholic satire of 'The Greendays!' It reminds me of Candide! /cool story bro Good show today, guys, even if Green Day didn't really do anything and I was half-drunk listening to the podcast again which made it a bit more funnier for some reason. The day we're supposed to think about all the things we HAVE, and the things we're thankful for, companies go out and market their wares in a covert way... a celebratory parade! YAY commercialism! Also note, the day after Thanksgiving is 'Black Friday', the craziest shopping day of the year... And to comment on the ‘hypocrisy’ of Green Day and their marketing. Green Day is not only a band, it’s a business… Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre employ a lot of people and provide paychecks to a lot of people. If they don’t sell, people don’t get paid… At this point in their career, with what they’ve built, they have other people to consider. They have to tow the line between their values/views and economic responsibility… Imagine how much money they LOST because they refused to sell 21CB at Wal*Mart due to their principles (I respect this, btw). When I think of greedy, money grubbing bastards, Green Day DOES NOT come to mind… These ARE the things I think about when I hear ‘Macy’s Day Parade.’ Btw, you guys make me LOL at work! green day climber Posted November 10, 2010 Share Posted November 10, 2010 hey awesome podcast!!!!! i love Static Noise and usually think that your opinions are really great, but i am gonna comment on the "hypocrytes" thing. i dont think billies crazy rant really sum up there values or what they stand for. if they talked about how much they hate MTV in an interview and actually said they were taking a principled stand against it, and then worked with them, then they could be considered hypocrites. but the rants are bit more blind anger and craziness than actual opinion. i dont think they reallly believe in half the suff billie is screaming up there. as for the macy's day parade thing, thats the musical. they are not managed by green day. i doubt billie mike and tre have any say in where the musical preforms. just giving an opinion. other than that the podcast was great!!!!! i loved the cross dressing conversation and how all the podcast members seem to be ADD. i cant wait till next week!!!!!
