Episode #4: See You Guys In Hell

The big news this week was Green Day playing Wembley Stadium. We also talk about an interview Billie Joe did with Time magazine, making your own "Blue" for Rock Band, and win a contest to see the musical. We also share our thoughts about if Green Day hypothetically left Warner Bros for an independent label.

Oh yeah, I have a couple of brain farts in there too.

Listener Submission by Marlee

"I was around 12-13 when American Idiot came out. I fell in love with the music, and the band instantly. I continued to buy most of their albums online (i had gotten an itunes giftcard on my birthday that november). While i was blasting Burn Out from my computer, my father came in and told me to turn the music down. I could see he was angry but i still argued with him. I shouted "But It's Green Day!!"

He looked surprised for a second, and responded with "When did you start liking punk music?"

He then took me to his room and opened a cabinet, one that i had been repeatedly told to never touch. inside were hundreds of vinil records. He then began to play Ramones, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The Stooges, and countless other amazing artists i now love.

It was the first time we had ever connected as father-daughter

who knew punk music would bring family closer together? "

Another great show, guys! :] I like that you guys sorta side-track from talking about Green Day once in awhile. It's not boring at all! It's a real conversation.

Just finished listening to it. :) You've done an awesome job again, guys.

It's actually great you're not talking about Green Day all the time, it makes the whole thing more enjoyable.

Yeah, I agree. I think a bit of off topic makes conversations more natural. It's not like 'okay we have to talk about this and anything else even if we'd like to'. Well, depends what it is though :D

I agree with ania and agija about the 'off-topicness'. The podcasts are very 'easy' to listen to and funny too :D

Hey Guys,

That was a mad podcast......

I liked how you guys talked about playing Green Day songs on piano and guitar. When I became a Green Day fan it was when i watched Bullet In a Bible and saw the way Billie played the guitar I just thought it was awesome......... so then i got a guitar and learn't Green Day songs. I agree with Alex though, they do get a bit repetitive with the power chords and everything but thats Green Day isn't it? hahaha.

So yeah looking forward to next weeks podcast. Good work guys.

Just finished listening to it!! It was so funny and I loved your bit about Wembley... made me relive part of the awesome/fantastic/omg wow weekend I have just had. I got some weird looks around town because I was listening to it through my iPod and something funny would be said and I'd crack a grin or giggle at apparently nothing (to passers by).... whoops

Where are these links of videos at Wembley? I only saw a few but I hadn't seen the ones you are talking about.

Keep it up, guys! And now I hear the Mike voice resemblance at the beginning with Alex. I get it now.

EDIT: Oh and does anyone else hear an echo whenever Andres is talking or is just me? And FHT >>>>>>>> Network. JS.

I'm glad you guys talked about the AI cast on CBS. I thought they sounded pretty good with the exception of Stark right at the beginning. So many people that I know said that they were so sharp and it was bad. I thought I was losing my musical ear but I'm glad other people thought it was pretty good. The people who said it was bad were against the show from the beginning anyway so IDK...

I don't think you can download individual episodes from iTunes like that, you have to subscribe and then it downloads them for you. You can also use the download link at the top.
