Yeah, thanks for that reminder. If there's one thing better than blonde Billie AND dark-haired Billie it's blonde Billie with dark roots. Add some skin, muscle and some sexy growling to that and you're good to go. (Edit: talking about Let Yourself Go obviously not those pics above aaarghghgfh)

Hobo Billie Joe... XD He could be like this for Halloween and people will think it's a costume for the occasion. But, it isn't a costume. It's Billie Joe being too much lazy to take care of himself in real life... or him trying again to avoid attention (total failure!). I really don't missed this look.

I prefer Billie shaved and black hair. The blonde hair, I like it, but I prefer black. For the rest, he can wear (almost) anything, even when he feels like joking with a dress or a skirt.

When I started to go down the fangirl slope  without knowing what I was going into, I was discovering about Green Day and Billie through pictures and videos at an insane pace. I managed to deal very quickly with a huge amount of information, but the first time I saw blonde Billie my brain suddenly went on strike for a moment 

I love everything about Billie in the trilogy era (even though, and maybe even more so that it wasn't the easiest time for him ; I feel an extreme sensibility and vulnerability with some roughness, all together - it reminds me of myself a lot) and the Let Yourself Go video made me get over blonde Billie blockage just like that

Yeah, I know. Actually yesterday we were talking a photo of Billie with some facial hair, it was nothing close to hobo joe, he had a bit of a stubble close to what he had in OW. (Can't find it now, it's a recent Instagram photo with a fan.) Even that was enough to make him unrecognizable and old in the fam's opinion. That was when I thought it was the right occasion to introduce the Hobo. It was still a bit of a shock.

I agree the Hobo Billie look is not the most lovely look on him aesthetically speaking. (Okay, it's probably the worse.) He was just in a totally opposite look to the one he had a couple of years earlier : skinny, angry, sexy, straight-black-haired and beardless Billie. (Yes, I do love Oh Love and Kill The DJ videos Billie ) 

However, I like the idea of him having gone through the Hobo state as well, during the hiatus. After having successfully experienced the extremes, he's back to his eternal youth look (telling from the current tour as well as the Instagram videos) just like normal

I'll admit it's not the worst look, and I like downtime Billie in theory. Like he's so chill it's charming in a way. It's the crazy grey Replacements beard that irks me the most.

I don't know how unpopular that opinion actually is, I agree with you about trilogy era Billie. Angry skinny Billie is hot.

 Like I said from the first day (after someone asked me about it!) I've never been bothered by Hobo Billie, on the contrary! To me it's associated with a positive period for Billie (and the first time I saw a picture of him in that look, without knowing anything about the context then, I thought we were a little bit in the future lol, but I also thought he looked bright and relieved in some way).

As we are in the Confessions Thread, I'll add, I've come a long way, I think I'm often in a "trilogy era" kind of mood (and I think in my case it's mostly salutary) while singing and listening to "Still Breathing" everyday, there are remaining things I need to overcome, and I'm totally fascinated by 2013-to-now Billie (which includes Hobo Billie era )

Simply put, your dad must look nice and cool
