It’s harder to understand how and why this all happened because it happened at such an accelerated pace just when everyone was stepping into a new year with a lot of hope for good things to come. I hope they play the song at the Fire Aid benefit show. It’s interesting too how Green Day songs have the tendency to get reinterpreted to become metaphors for national tragedies. First WMUWSE for 9/11 and now LNOE for this. Two beautiful ballads that were repurposed.
