Zac Efron Officially Goes Bi, Plus Eight Other Modern Celebrity Couples

Billie Joe Armstrong and Adrienne Nesser

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong married Adrienne Nesser in 1994. A year later, he acknowledged swinging both ways in an interview with the Advocate. Earlier this year, he told Rolling Stone that many songs his album Dookie was largely about being bisexual and his struggles with finding his identity.

Did I miss the part where it said Zack Effron is bi? All I saw was that his girlfriend is.

I think they were trying to trick people with the headline. Like "Zac Efron goes bi" meaning "Zac Efron is screwing someone who is bi"

Yeah. It's really a trashy article, exaggerating everything to make the celebrities sound "gayer" in a salacious manner.

Not quite.

(Apprently that whole “Italian Daddy” thing Zac had with Gianluca Vacchi was just a phase.)

Gianluca Vacchi is a man. And if you click through the links, it takes you to previous gossip stories from them, insinuating a flirtation/relationship between he and Zac, though none of their evidence seems particularly concrete to me. But if both of these rumors they're grappling onto were true, and Zac really was getting his thang on with both Gianluca and Michelle Rodriguez, then that would indicate bisexuality, not just him dating a bisexual. But they seem to just be grasping at straws, in general.

So are they playing together tonight or...?

The band is playing and there are oictures but none of any members of GD. One person on IG said "Tre Cool is here" but didn't indicate he was playing and he wasn't in their photo of the band. That was an hour ago according to the time on the photo. Nothing since.

Punk rock, grunge and Britpop dominated 1994 as we celebrate the 20th birthday of these records

Dookie, Green Day

The irreverent pop punk trio smashed it worldwide with their third record — and major label debut — which has sold more than 20 million copies since its release. The band commanded the airwaves with a raft of singles including Longview, Basket Case, Welcome To Paradise and When I Come Around.

Trending that caught Doug's eye... celebrity meltdowns

4) The sensitive celebrity: Billie Joe Armstrong

The scene of the crime: At the second annual iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas in September 2012, Billie Joe Armstrong, lead singer of the famed punk rock band Green Day, took storming off the stage to an entirely new level. He smashed his instruments -- and trashed the good (cough) name of Canada's own petulant superstar, Justin Bieber. At the festival, each artist gets a certain amount of time to play, but when Green Day's performance was cut 20 minutes short to make time for another performer, Billie went ballistic. When a teleprompter warned the band had only one minute left to play, he cut loose with this legendary tirade, which we will modify slightly for a family newspaper: "Give me a (bleeping) break! One minute left. One minute (bleeping) left. You're going to give me one minute. I've been around since (bleeping) 198(bleeping)8. I'm not (bleeping) Justin Bieber, you (bleepers). You've got to be (bleeping) joking. I got one minute... Let me show you what one (bleeping) minute (bleeping) means." Which is when Billie and his band smashed their guitars to thunderous applause and Billie boasted: "We'll be back." They weren't.

The greatest bands which disappeared

Green Day: Green day did enjoy a far more cult popularity then most bands and musicians on this list, in fact some of their music was incredibly catchy and almost brought back the punk-rock culture, they didn't however, make it as big as they potentially could have.

Bullshit. Just last year they broke the Emirates Stadium's record for most tickets sold for a music gig. Yeah, we all know that and I didn't really need to say it, but I was annoyed.

The Catcher in the Rye at 60: Ten things you should know

6. Green Day love it

The American rock band Green Day are proud champions of Salinger's antihero; their 1994 song Basket Case is a nasally homage in nasally whines. They also named an earlier song Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? Presumably they couldn't find a rhyme for Salinger.
