  1. He literally wrote a song saying he's a walking contradiction so we shouldn't be surprised

  2. He did the exact same thing at my show! He said "Look at all the pretty lights!"

  3. Yeah, but then he was also so stressed out and fucked up that night they couldn’t get him on stage for an hour. If a stable, reliable setlist of hits is easier for him, maybe that’s just how it has to be. I’m not saying the two always have to go together but it is true the set lists were often wilder when he was messed up and being impulsive.

  4. We were talking about the Shepherd's Bush show in the picture request thread and I got to thinking about it. Just look at the setlist compared to Hella Mega... https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/green-day/2012/o2-shepherds-bush-empire-london-england-bdc7d1a.html Can't believe this was nine years ago

  5. So here're a few Billie pics I've been obsessed with lately. I just don't know how anyone can be so fucking attractive. How is he like this? His eyes in the 21CB one are just hypnotizing. This is all three of them (and they all look great, of course!), but I love how Billie's bangs are styled here. I miss his bangs being like this! 😭 I do like them gelled up like they have been lately, but I prefer them down.

  6. I have some others on my computer but it's been broken for ages and not got around to replacing it! Found a few more There are some others on Getty Images website if you search for "Green Day Shepherd's Bush"

  11. I was at that show and at the time no one thought anything about any of it until iHeart happened. Everyone says in hindsight Billie was f**ked up that night but at the time it was far from people's minds

  15. Me too 😆 I always skip that one. Although top faves are a little different I love Loss of Control and top forever fav is FELL FOR YOU (times a gajillion million) fav song off the trilogy and also love Stay the Night, Oh Love, and so much more. The Trilogy is a jam packed treasure chest except for one or two I tend to skip but considering it’s 3 full albums skipping one or two is minimal and doesn’t mean that much at all. The Trilogy is a masterpiece.

  16. Still think the trilogy was amazing. Has some of their best work with lazy bones, stay the night, sweet sixteen, Ashley, 8th Avenue serenade, x-kid, nuclear family, stray heart. a lot of filler, but that’s what I liked most about this project. We got a chance to hear polished songs that otherwise would have been left on the cutting room floor. hate all the negativity surrounding this album (and FOAM)!

  17. It was obvious that the trilogy was a commercial flop by the time 99 Revolutions tour started so I don’t think it had anything to do with the album’s success either.

  18. I really don't think setlists are something we need to start associating with Billie's issues. They were more varied back then because Green Day were still very relevant, which meant more people were interested in hearing deep cuts (especially at a small show like Shepherd's Bush). Even on the 99 Revolutions Tour there were some pretty exciting setlists because that was before the trilogy's lack of success was clear. It's not that deep.

  19. Brutal love. It’s one of my favorite Green Day songs ever, not just from the trilogy. There’s tons of great songs on trilogy, I really don’t get why people don’t like it as much

  20. Love Mike and love Kermit. They both seem like such sweet souls. P.S. I still miss Billie Joe posting on Insta and I will not forget it haha. But seriously. What a weird void. Years of fun interaction and then a big ditch. He used to post a lot! I’d like to thank Tré the hero during these troubled times for the wonderful posts ❤️ so good and heartfelt and funny too! Love him so much always and more ❤️ but still missing the lead singer guy.

  21. ^^ I like the last one where mike is basically doing the same pose as kermit❤️

  23. Hi guys, I feel like the Trilogy is a masterpiece and it's so underrated. I love the songs on that albums especially Stray Heart. So today I decided to cover it with myself. What is your favorite song from the Trilogy?
    2 points
  24. I’m not too big on the songs from the trilogy? but I do think brutal love sounds amazing live ESPECIALLY here

  27. Indeed! He is so good at IG hype 😎 even just activating the deactivated accounts would be hype 😳 I wonder what will happen 🧐 He’s insane and beautiful with his talent and crazy drive to create great stuff. It seems like the guy can’t help but write and start projects during his little bits of Green Day downtime and he likes to share and make it fun to figure out and get interactive with fans. IG = perfect platform for what he does best as far as teasing etc. Hope he activates his accounts sooner than later but the wait would be worth it if it’s to tease a new cover, single or project and get back to the fun and brilliant stuff.

  29. I saw a few people wearing the network shirt when I was waiting in line during the philly show lol, I think I saw a couple of the longshot too? but really, I wouldn’t mind another small longshot show or just another small release in general

  30. I do. It’s ok if that’s how they want to make the most out of their last few decades. It seems a little too early to go into the Stones mode though.

  31. I'm sure they will return to touring as just Green Day for Green Day fans when they release another album.

  32. That is kind of late but I'm always up at that time anyway so I'll probably watch livestream

  33. The trilogy is still amazing for sure. My favourites are Stray Heart, 8th Ave. Serenade, Wild One, Brutal Love, The Forgotten, Missing You, X-Kid, Fell For You, Angel Blue... basically I love all of it except a few which are alright, they're just not my favourites. There's usually one song I'm not bothered about on every album, ever, anyway. Trilogy 4 life

  36. I dunno, they seemed to really enjoy the small shows before the Rev Rad Tour and during the Longshot era... I don't think one route is necessarily better than the other, they both have their benefits.

  37. If so expect the same setlist for the rest of their career

  41. Nice cover OP! Couldn't agree more about the trilogy. It has sweet love songs, down and dirty party songs, sad and reflective songs. I love it. There's so many songs I love, Kill the DJ, Fell For You, Troublemaker, Fuck Time, Stop When the Red Lights Flash, Nightlife, Wow That's Loud, 8th Avenue Serenade, Missing You, X-Kid.... But my favourite is Brutal Love . One of the most beautiful songs I've heard.

  42. It's good. The only good song on ¡Dos!, actually. But my favorite has always been X-Kid
