starting to wonder if maybe Warning, Hold On, Waiting and Minority's demos were closer to the final release, hense why they weren't in the box
-
It's Amazon's decision. They're probably selling it below their wholesale rate at a loss at this point, because Amazon is big enough to take the loss. They just want to make SOMETHING back. They do that if they're trying to offload inventory, so it tells me preorders (at least for the CDs) did not do very well. At least, that was the case when this sort of thing would happen at the label I worked for.

Usually it will be stream on every iHeartRadio platform in audio and video. I have on my computer a Blink 182 show from 2020 and last year's Sum 41 show in video format. Will it probably US only, but a recording will surface

I mean, it says 2025 remaster. But yeah, can't really hear a difference. What's even more interesting is that the original album on Apple Music has songs at high res lossless, 192 kHz, while the remasters are listed at 96 kHz. Anyone out there able to do a spectral analysis?

I never thought I would utter these words, but here we go: I kinda liked the saxophone during 2,000 Light Years Away.

Billie's vocals on the Blood Sex and Booze demo are slightly creepy and I like it. The unintelligible words/shouting at the end is different lol, is he actually saying anything or just random sounds? Glow in the dark Warning man shirt for my brother's Christmas present just arrived 😊

Scroll down the album list and you'll see it.
-
Latest release on their profile is still Blood Sex and Booze Live for me.
-
It’s there. Listening now
-
It's not on Spotify? I'm driving 8 hours to NYC today I want to listen to it
-
Same i can't hear the difference. Oh well see you all on the remixed era
-
To my ears I think it is the same hdtracks/apple music remaster. I can't really tell any difference.
-
Oh man i wish they release shenanigans anniversary edition next year. Either we get a hi-res audio of every shenanigans track or we get shenanigans with a 2nd disc like what smashing pumpkins did to pisces iscariot Also is warning 25th remastered the same from hdtracks and apple music from years ago?
-
Is it me, or are the vocals on the Misery and Jackass demos kind of quiet?
-
21st Century Breakdown is the next and can’t wait I think it will be the best. I give insomniac anniversary credit for having so many live insomniac tracks!
-
The demos being so complete makes me curious what happened with Scott Litt as producer 2:41 of the Misery demo - "It's the bridge!"
-
Why is Suffocate on this even though it was a Nimrod session recording? Is it because of inclusion on Shenanigans?
-
I think out of all the anniversary box sets (not counting Insomniac), this one might be my least favorite, but I still enjoyed it. The demos are cool and have a rougher sound to them, but I'm kinda sad we didn't get more from this era, songs like "Waiting" and the title track not having demos are also kinda weird (maybe they never got demos recorded, who knows). The Otis mixes are cool, I hope they do something like this for future anniversary box sets too (like the "Uno Dos Tre" trilogy), the Otis mix of "Waiting" might be my new favorite version of the song. The 2025 remasters are also pretty neat, the songs sound a little cleaner, it's cool to hear this album get more polish and love. The live concert is cool to have, their Japan 2001 shows are awesome, but I noticed Billie's voice sounds a bit rough in this recording. Considering the concert the next day was the Shibuya-AX show, where Billie's voice was completely shot, I wonder if he was partially sick at this show too. Pretty interesting they chose this concert to include on the box set. I'm sad "Church on Sunday" and "When I Come Around" from this show got omitted for whatever reason, I guess their recordings of the songs got messed up or something. Hopefully the bootleg show of this show turns up so we can have the full thing available again. I hope the next box set will be 21st Century Breakdown or the Trilogy!

Damn I love this band

Oh man i wish they release shenanigans anniversary edition next year. Either we get a hi-res audio of every shenanigans track or we get shenanigans with a 2nd disc like what smashing pumpkins did to pisces iscariot In short: they just reduce the volume decibels and call it a day

Only just started listening but right off the bat, I love how raw and punchy the guitar is on the Misery demo.

You guys remember that terrible, horrible, no good MAX CREEPS thing that made us think it was a Green Day project but turned out to be some fart noises by a Guns N Roses guy and some rando. I remember.

Billie did say that if he were to ever rerecord (I’d assume just the guitars given the Otis mixes we have) one of their albums, it would be Warning (not that he has to, just mentioning that it would be the most likely one if we go by Billie’s feelings) because it doesn’t sound live enough to him. And I absolutely agree. Was hoping I could throw in a version without the abrupt ending on my favorites playlist on Apple Music (tbh if one of the two comes on when I shuffle my favorites, I always make sure I listen to the two of them)

The songs that aren't already brick walled are more excusable... but the others just don't make sense lol how do they not have better audio sources in their vaults ðŸ˜

I think Nimrod was the only box set where they didn't lower volume on any of the tracks. Warning box set has all the demos, b-sides, and live album at half volume. The Warning remaster CD is the same volume as the original.
