WorryRock02
Spoiler I'm like a child looking off in the horizon I'm like an ambulance that's turning on the sirens Oh, I'm still alive I'm like a soldier coming home for the first time I dodged a bullet and I walked across a landmind Oh, I'm still alive Am I bleeding? Am I bleeding from the storm? Just shine a line into the wreckage, so far away, away Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way My way to you I'm like a junkie tying off for the last time I'm like a loser that's betting on his last dime Oh, I'm still alive I'm like a son that was raised without a father I'm like a mother barely keeping it together Oh, I'm still alive Am I bleeding? Am I bleeding from the storm? Just shine a line into the wreckage, so far away, away Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way, my way... As I walked out on the ledge Are you scared to dance to live? I been running all my life Just to find a home that's for the restless And the truth that's in the message Making my way, away, away Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way, my way... Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way My way to you

This is a good thing. Now I'm very intrigued to hear it. Owl City is awesome, but he's so different from standard Green Day.
Hermione
Sorry but I can't stand Owl City and am blocking out any resemblance between this and them from my mind A reminder to please not post download links OR ask for them or offer them. GDC could get in trouble if we allowed it. Thanks.
emenius
5 minutes ago, Second favourite son said: A song being poppy does not necessarily mean it's bad. Even if you hate pop, please don't hate something before you've even listened to it properly just because of the perceived genre/style of it. I mean, you're allowed to hate the song, and even hate it because its 'poppy', but don't hate it because it's poppy without having listened properly. I agree with the sentiment, and personally I love good pop music (I'm a proper gay haha), but this is just kinda bland and generic unfortunately, and feels a bit try-hard. I love when Green Day try new styles and I'm not just looking for another Dookie/Nimrod/AI, but this just doesn't work for me unfortunately. Oh well, I thought Bang Bang was their best single since 21CB and RR is awesome so still happy!
Siddharth_471
Sounds a bit similar to chorus of City Of The Damned from Jesus Of Suburbia.

DookieLukie
Wait so what song does this sample? And who Co wrote it and why? And to what extent?
strangestat
My first reaction: What the shit is this song? It sounds so bland to me... I could see this being played on top 40 radio though Initial thoughts right now, but we'll have to see if this grows on me

stories and songs
12 minutes ago, Hermione said: I agree with this assessment. I think Billie has a knack for getting away with using cliches from time to time though, it always comes across like he used the phrase because it was the right one and he meant it and he isn't bothered if it's a bit cliched, rather than like he's resorting to using it because of lack of creativity. Comes across that way here as usual. I love his writing because he doesn't overcomplicate it. It clearly comes from an honest place. He doesn't put SO much of himself in it that others can't relate to it, but still makes it personal and real.
petros
Watch people hating this song cause it's co-written. I love it. This is the poppy green day I like not the oh love one. Very catchy and nice I want this to be the second single(althoug I don't know any other song from the album that we haven't listened yet )

That Dude
WOW. A different pace is what I've been waiting to hear from RevRad and this is it. It proves the album is more than 11 angry rants and book-ended by Ordinary World. Now we've heard one third of of the album and it just keeps getting better and better. I'm crying over here. A song doesn't have to sound like Dookie Era to be classic Green Day because this thing IS CLASSIC! This is what Green Day does best. Also, I have cause to celebrate because I JUST posted about how I believed this was going to be one of my favorites! Not only has Green Day been my favorite band for 20 years but I've experienced a lot of the same personal tragedies as them as well. this song just really got me. I've lost a parent to cancer, I've had cancer myself. I've struggled and overcome addictions, gotten divorced.....heck, I was drinking heavily during the time the Trilogy came out. Not even three whole spins and this song has helped me so much. The underlying message at the heart of Green Day has always been "The world is screwed up, but I'm still alive." In 2014 my doctors told me I wouldn't make it. But you what? I'm still breathing!

That Dude
You know what this song needs? An amazing music video! So are all the people that hated the Trilogy satisfied? Unless the 8 songs we haven't heard are just the most god-awful thing to ever be recorded (and that seems unlikely) I think RevRad is going to be a highlight of their career!
