I teared up when each of them got a little emotional. I mean, Tre ... emotional, just not what we're used to seeing. The Ford shoutout was perfect. These guys have meant so much to me, in a way that only you guys can appreciate, and to see them get recognized by the Hall of Fame is very fucking special. We recognize them as being great songwriters, able to write and perform music that connects with millions of people. For me it was a connection that opened me up to an entirely new way of looking at life and myself, and feeling just a little less alone and weird. To a teenager in bumfuck New Mexico, that's very powerful. Their music has been with me for all my adult life. Really enjoying pretty much all of these performances. Thought what the first member of the blackhearts said about miley's speech was totally innappropriate and uneccessary but other than that it's been really great. Seeing them cut to family and friends (the Armstrongs, Brittney, Larry, John Kiffmeyer) was very lovely to see. Really added to the emotion to see their friends and family with tears in their eyes. Tre mentioning John Kiffmeyer was super cool of him. Also, the love between Billie & Adrienne is so fucking precious I teared up when he mentioned her (and the kids). As for their performances, they sounded fantastic! When I Come Around is one of my favorites, so I'm really glad they played it. The whole thing was just epic! Thank god for DVR.
