I assume it's true if broadway.com are talking about it? Excited if it is! Definitely going to try and get there for a show!

If this is true I'll have yet another reason to visit London and I like that a lot.

I saw it in Manchester when it was here last but we didn't have great seats. I could barely see the Will/Heather side of the stage.

I never saw the musical last time it was here, so I'll definitely go to a couple, if not a few shows  plus, gotta love any reason to visit London.

We were just talking about making a trip to London this summer..and now we have a solid reason! Didn't see it first time around, so very excited this time. Add to that Amelia Lily and you will have three very happy folks!

My mother and brother and I are going to London for my 21st birthday in August. This would definitely be an extra reason to go. I'd love to see the musical.

Won't be going myself but it's really cool to think of Green Day being represented on the West End! Brilliant.

THEATRE

Green Day’s American Idiot

(Arts Theatre, London, Friday to 27 September)

Punk music rarely makes it to the theatre stage, but the US group Green Day’s musical, American Idiot, has its West End debut this week. Based on the band’s 2004 rock opera concept album of the same name, it’s written by frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and the director Michael Mayer, and tells of three boyhood friends seeking to find meaning in the post-9/11 world. Having premiered in Berkeley in the group’s native California, before moving on to Broadway – earning two Tony awards plus a Grammy – it plays here with the one-time X Factor contender Amelia Lily in the cast.
