Fender Mexican Stratocaster

Stagg Acoustic

Don't get too hung up on Gibsons. I previously owned a Gibson, hated how it played. Got an Epiphone and I infinitely prefer it. Theres a lot more to a guitar than just a brand name!

My current collection consists of:

Fender Baja Telecaster

1996 MIK Squier Telecaster

1996 MIK Squier Stratocaster

Squier Affinity Stratocaster

Aria STB Precision Bass

Warwick RockBass Corvette

Painfully short list at the moment, I'm two acoustics and three basses down in the last couple of years.

Well, let me start by syaing it is a good guitar. With that said, it still got some flaws. First you'll quickly notice some finish details that don't look so good. Espacially on the side of neck. Also at the sound hole it's not so pretty. I'm a beginner at guitar, but I would say the sound is very clear and loud, but think aboutt just changing the strings right away when you get it. Didn't like the ones I got with it.

2 Squier strats. One was an affinity series that I modified the pickup to a Seymour Duncan distortion, and the other one is an HSS bullet strat in a killer green. I have and Ibanez NDM2 with a pickguard swapped for an all back one. I have a Squier standard Tele in butterscotch blonde. I have a Billie Joe Doublecut TV Yellow junior, and finally I have an Epiphone ES-339 in cherry, my favorite guitar.

This is my first, and main guitar. It's an Indiana strat copy with a SD Hot Rails in the bridge. I'm planning on putting a SD Cool Rails in the neck eventually.

TYdPggn.jpg

This is just an all stock Epiphone Les Paul Special. It's great for the price.

I'm also really tempted to pre-order the Chapman Ghost Fret in Satin Blue...

I don't get the attraction of owning a blue copy :/ I want a guitar that's my own, not a copy.

Thanks for the clearing that one up for me...

To rephrase then for the smartarses, I don't understand wanting a SIGNATURE guitar, each to their own just don't quite get the hype, it's not as special for me as owning a normal guitar. For me you should make the normal guitar YOUR signature guitar (cringe)

My point is every guitar mass-produced started out as someone's signature guitar. There is no such thing as a "normal guitar." Everyone who plays a Les Paul or SG is copying Les Paul by your logic.

No not at all, many musicians have used stratocasters, so owning a strat isn't copying them. Making a copy of blue is copying them :)

To further prove my point, last weekend I was buying a new Les Paul and I was offered the choice between an Orange sunburst or Slash's signature paint. This sort of thing came to my mind, hence why I went for the sunburst :P
