JardyOfSuburbia
Jack Antonoff (Fun. and his recent project Bleachers - which is an incredible sideproject) mentioned Billie Joe Armstrong in a Q&A with Rolling Stone. It's brief, but still kind of neat. I always get excited when someone else mentions Billie. Q: Your project is called Bleachers, which could mean many things. Did you have a bleached-hair phase? A: Oh, yeah, big-time. Billie Joe Armstrong had bleached hair during the era when Dookie was out, and I so desperately wanted to be him. To compromise, my mom let me get highlights, which looked fucking ridiculous. Then one day when she wasn't around, I got the hairdresser to bleach my whole head. My mom came back and said, "I can't believe you went platinum before school!"

Bastard of 1969
*googles who is that guy* Oh, It's that guy who plays guitar in "We are young", in which I don't hear a single chord. Oh, how much kids bleached their hair on Dookie era...he's just one famous example.

DookieLukie
I think Some Nights (the song) is really catchy, and maybe even Walking the Dog. Otherwise, crappy band with an agenda.
