I wonder if this is actually written by him for/during the trilogy (because we saw the title on a very early white board picture), or if he just took the title for this (newly written) song

Very interesting that the name of this song was seen on the early Trilogy tracklist.

Probably just used the title.

"You're baby blue

with baby traces.

Baby blue

with pretty faces."

I like it :) I hope we get to hear the other songs Billie wrote too.

Now he only wrote eight songs for the show but does that mean that others wrote remainder of the songs? Or is it only the eight that Billie wrote?

I like the Beatles sound to Billie lyrics. It's fun.

Can someone transcribe the lyrics out?

We have no clue I guess. I'm gonna assume this song was written during the trilogy sessions, because Green Day isn't known for recycling names like Nirvana did

I really wish we could hear Green Day, or just Billie, perform this.

Is this a live recording, or was the crowd noise just added?

I'm assuming it's studio with the crowd noise added since this is basically just a show preview.

To be fair tho we have no clue if that's true or not

For all we know there's a home demo of a basket case that is completely different than the one we know

I could totally see this as a softer trilogy song. Personally I think it was the same one.

Actually there is, because Billie hated the song and then re-wrote all the words

It's bad quality for a studio recording. Like, no one mixed it at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was ripped from one of the dress rehearsals or something.
