Blasphemy & Genocide: Unpopular Green Day Opinions, Part 2

Doubt this is an unpopular opinion the opposite is probably true but since we're talking the Kerrang tribute I despised all the covers besides Whatsername. That was one was actually good.

Most of them were too bland to even comment on. The only ones that caught my interest (other than the couple of hilariously bad ones) were the heavier ones since at least they had some balls. The Defiled's WMUWSE is probably my favourite, which I think is unpopular.

You're right, I was being over the top, I just had the urge to use that GIF. :P But the lyrics are pretty bloody bad.

I like sweet romantic lyrics with added wanking references :(

Fell for You's not too bad, it's probably the highlight of the second half of that album.

I would agree, but Angel Blue!

Never been able to get into it as much as I'd like to

Bringing back memories of the discussion about whether Stray Heart was about his alcoholism instead of about Lady Cobra.

I thought it was an apology song to Adrienne? Because of Winona.

Lazy Bones is about how Billie once overslept and missed his plane to Brazil, causing an entire tour to be cancelled.

You'd like this then. :D

Never compare the awesome lyrics of Pete with those utterly shit lyrics on the trilogy. In other words Pictures of Lily is an awesome lyrical piece about self-discovery and first experiences with pornography, while Fell for You is a 40-year old man trying to sound like teen boy who never dares to speak to the person he has a crush on; and only wanks while thinking of him/her. :P

Angel Blue has always been my favorite on Uno. Even though they stole the riff from I Fought The Law

I agree. Just looking for an excuse to bring some musical class to a Trilogy discussion. :P

Rusty James tho

Actually, with the exception of Loss of Control, I think the second half of ¡Uno! is much better than the first half

I still insist that Oh Love is the highlight of the album.

I agree completely.

When he sings "won't you rain on me tonight" I always hear "won't you reign o'er me" though :P

Well then I must insist that you're out of your fucking tree.

Demo versions of all songs > album versions.

However, it's probably an unpopular opinion in the eyes of the hysterical fangirls :P

I don't mind hysterical fangirls who basically think Billie invented guitar by himself while the knights of Arthur were looking for the Holy Grail.

Honestly though American Idiot nearly comes close to Tommy and Quadrophenia quality-wise, but only nearly.

Good Boy. All is forgiven.

"You're forgiven"

If people want to fangirl whatever just don't be blind and understand there are bands that do things way better than Green Day and their precious Billie Joe then I have no problems with such behavior.
