The Bellie Posted April 9, 2019 Share Posted April 9, 2019 About The Longshot, I thought until recently, in Soul Surrender, that "blow my nose" (in the line "I think I need a long vacation to keep me clean and blow my nose") was the same thing as "punch my nose", because of the various meanings of "blow". I only found out recently what "blow one's nose" meant. So until then I thought that Billie wanted to get his nose punched while he would be in vacation, and I kinda liked that idea . Oh well. As for Walk Away, I freaking love that song, one of my very fave GD songs, one of those I can listen to over and over without it never getting boring . I wish they would play it live in full once. Before The Longshot I never thought I would experience Stay The Night and Fell For You live so, even though Walk away may be a bit hard to sing live, you never know. The young cashier is doing a Green Day themed birthday party for her two year old, because her MOM is a huge Green Day fan. Lots of talking about Green Day, lots of Green Day related jokes. If you want to find it, it's season 3, episode 11. I love Green Day so much it kind of makes me uncomfortable with them talking about them, haha. The main character is naming a bunch of Green Day songs. All really popular ones of course. But he named more than the "obvious three" so that was cool. I play in a new team, though, and when being asked about my favorite song, it was hard for me, cos usually I got laughed at for almost everything I did or said (in my old team). I thought about a song, chose a non-Green-Day rock song and there came absolutely no negative comment when my teammate played it. Later I realized another team mate had chosen a Green Day song - American Idiot! This reminds me of my first games I've played, cos the guys of my first team have always had American Idiot on before and after trainings and games! I was of course dancing my wee little ass off to Know Your Enemy. I mean, I looked like that meme of Freddie Mercury. Anyways, the little old hag that works with us and judges everyone was like "what the fuck is this? why would you listen to this?!" I WAS SO OFFENDED. I WAS INSTANTLY PLANNING HER MURDER AND HOW TO GET AWAY WITH IT. NOT LITERALLY. BUT I WAS POUTING. Ugh though. I absolutely love 21st Century Breakdown. Just such a fun album to run through.
