Today I came to the realization of how much I relate to both of the Gloria songs of 21CBD. I felt like making a thread to share my opinions on the song and to have everyone talk amongst themselves about the songs.
To me Little Girl is about her childhood, and when it all starts to fall apart. The other song alludes to her having a troubled childhood. This song really sets a strong base for the other Gloria to be based off of. It builds Gloria as a character and shows you where she comes from and why she acts the way she does.
Viva la Gloria is my personal favorite of the two, and right now of all time. This song starts as a song or poem from Christian to Gloria. He says that eternal youth is a lie and you have to grow up to a certain degree. The he says hold on "we're gonna start a war, your slogans a gun for hire it's what we've waited for" This is saying the she is going to stand up and fight for all of the people like her. That she is what we've all been waiting for, a warrior. Then it breaks out into a fast paced rock song, sort of a battle cry, saying to always get back up, weather the storm, don't put away your burning light, don't look back on the bad times when "when your banners were burning down". This portrays her as a fighter for all the people like her trying to find themselves in this world.
