Am I the only one who noticed this about "Stay The Night"?

The riff played at the opening and after the second chorus sounds exactly like the opening to "Up Where We Belong" by Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes. Here, listen:

I wouldn't say "exactly". There sure are a few notes that are the same but the two melodies are not "exactly" the same, they're just kinda similar.

Being a guitarist I can tell you that the notes used in the both song are basic.

So that's not a big deal.

ohh! no haha not another thread i just remember a shit ton of people saying "THIS SOUNDS LIKE THIS" in the uno/dos/tre album thread and i got real sick of it (with the examples above included many times) sorry if that came off mean sounding haha

If you listen to the intro for 99 Revolutions, it's almost the same as the riff in Bruce Springsteen's " No Surrender"
