Yeah! Go Jennifer! So glad she got it! She's amazing. It's kind of sad the little girl didn't get it, though. She was really cute!

I think Daniel Day Lewis will get best actor.

And he got it!

And Argo for best picture? I didn't see it so I'm not sure how To feel about that.

I guess we had different apeshit reactions then, because I think she's amazing.

I think she's great too but it's amazing how different opinions on politics can make people judge someone personally.

I legitimately haven't seen a single movie nominated in any category so idek why I watched

I never hated Anne, but fuck, she made herself so terrible during this campaign.

I didn't know any of the nominees either, so I was just hoping Quvenzhane would win. She's so adorable.

But I knew it'd be Jennifer Lawrence.

I know! Most of my extended family just hates her and it's all because of politics. And probably the act that she's black and their a bunch of bigots. But seriously, anyone should be able to appreciate what a downright classy woman she is. There hasn't been that much class in the White House since Jackie Kennedy in my opinion.

Anyway, I think the Oscars were overall not that bad this year. Seth McFarlane was a bit tasteless at times, but he wasn't a terrible host.

Christoph Waltz deserved his oscar for Django, I loved him in Inglourious bastard.

It is a disagrace that there was not a tribute to the great Michael Winner.

Well the reviews are coming in and most people are saying that Seth was both good and bad. Some people hated him of course and he did make some very distasteful jokes at times, but I don't think he was terrible. Would I want him to host the Oscars again? No, probably not.

Everyone at my office loved Seth.  So did my mom (which actually surprised me).  Guess we're a part of the positive half in that vote!

Felt bad for Kristen Stewart, poor girl looked like she was about to collapse. Think they said she had stepped on a piece of glass and had to get her foot bandaged up, that's why she needed crutches.

But yeah, I hadn't seen like 90% of the movies nominated, so I didn't really have any expectations  I was pumped that Christoph Waltz won though, that guy is a fucking actor and a half.

I was okay with most of the results (I don't watch the show so I can't say about seth) but I did have 2 issues:
1) Brave won? Seriously?? Outside of the princess herself that was the most cookie cutter cliche piece of shit childrens movie I've seen in a while. I know, I'm 20, so predicting the plot within the first 5 minutes (I did, every detail) isn't a big deal, but this was a straight up kids movie. Wreck It Ralph was so much better. I'm glad it didn't go to Paranorman though, that movie was equally disappointing.

and
2) The Hobbit was hardly nominated! I know, it's the trend with those films but I was still surprised that it didn't win anything that I know of.
